I got to the Property around 10:40 at night. I met my friend for a drink and came back to sleep. There was no air conditioning. I was on the phone with the clerk for about 10-15 minutes. I finally said, you’ll have to come to the room because it isn’t working and I’m not a novice to units, there’s something wrong. He comes to the room, it’s after 2am in the morning, he says, yes it’s broken. I’m sorry but the hotel is full so I can’t give you another room. I’ll let the manager know in the morning. It was absolutely miserable and I had, had a 8.5 hour drive and needed to rest well for an active next day. No rooms available so I checked out first thing the next morning. They canceled my second day booking but said they’d have to speak to the GM before giving me a discount on the first night . I re rice no phone call so I call on Tuesday. The GM answers and wasn’t just a smartass from the get go, was a super jerk. I get upset and let him know that his clerk lied about offering me another room. The hotel was booked and there was nowhere else for me to go! Did he expect me to leave my room at 2:30am in the morning in a town I’d never been to find another hotel on a holiday weekend??! Yes he did! I’ve tried to reach out to Bookings.com for a refund and have not received a response. I’m extremely upset and would like a reply and a full refund! My cell # is (850) 826-3104.
