The on-site restaurant was excellent. I sat on the patio and enjoyed dinner while listening to live music. I think that’s about the best experience you can expect from a small motel. I don’t think big hotels deliver experiences like this. It was an enjoyable stay.

It is on the main road, so easy to find and able to walk around town very easily. Breakfast didn't start until 8am, so if you wanted to make an early start, you left without eating.

It was clean, the bed was comfy… We had a little bit of an issue with the remote on the TV, they did try to fix it, unsuccessfully, but I would highly recommend this place.

The property was clean, spacious and most of all, the owners thought of everything that would make a guest’s stay comfortable and convenient. I would definitely look to stay here again if we are in the area to explore Bryce Canyon and beyond.

Happy Trails is a quiet property right in the small town of Tropic. Enjoyed having a balcony to sit on and watch the sunset. The room was very clean and comfortable. Coffee, yogurt, and soda available in the common area. Took advantage of the laundry facilities which are onsite and a real bonus. A fresh and hearty breakfast was provided each morning with a smile. Hosts are absolutely wonderful and are always willing to offer suggestions of sites around the area. Would highly recommend this property to others!

Very clean and well-furnished room. We also enjoyed the balcony facing the backyard and the mountains. Location was great for easy access to Bryce Canyon.

Very small town, nothing much here at all - the big draw is Bryce Canyon Nat'l Park, which is a short drive away. We were only here three days to visit the park, so it wasn't that bad. The price of the room was the big draw; we could have stayed closer to the park but at twice the price. The idea of our own cabin was appealing. Three or four little restaurants in town. The place is clean and quiet and everyone we ran into was pleasant. Bring a book or iPad or something for your evenings.

Although a lot of the shops and restaurants were closed for the season. Everyone seemed to be very friendly and the pizza place we ate at was very good.
Clark's store has everything you need for hiking, dinner or a quick snack. Really good coffee

Such a cute little quaint town.
Such a cute little quaint town. There isn't much, but it's great. A few little quaint restaurants, and a gas station, and it's just adorable. Highly recommend starting at Bryce Valley Lodging, mini cabins, little personal adorable ones! You won't be disappointed! Great fun.

Tropic was just a short drive to Bryce Canyon and all the hiking. We enjoyed the coffee shop nearby (Bryce Canyon Coffee) and the restaurant that had live music (Showdowns Restaurant) in the evenings! We were there in early May 2023 and the weather was perfect, 35 to 45 degrees in the morning and 80's at the hottest.

Tropic is a great town being about 20 minutes from Bryce Canyon. My partner and I stayed at Bryce Canyon Log Cabins. With many other activities in the area such as ATVs or electric bicycles, Bryce Wildlife Outfitters is the place to go for ATVing. For Dinner I’d recommend Cowboys Smokehouse Cafe and Arriba Mexican Grill. For coffee we went to Bryce Canyon Coffee Co. Inside the park there is dining at Bryce Canyon Lodge, we ate at the buffet for breakfast.

Spent 1 night here as a stop over.
Spent 1 night here as a stop over. Our accommodation was fine but Tropic itself is limited and not helped by the strictly enforced Utah rule of not having a beer without food. In the restaurant this was very odd and we couldn't have a second beer because we hadn't ordered enough food!
Lovely place to stay! Very welcoming hosts and beautiful house. Our room was comfortable, clean and characterful. Best breakfast of our whole trip! Fresh fruit, cooked waffles with bacon/ pancakes with sausage- delicious! Short drive to Bryce National Park- a sensational location. Would certainly recommend this bed and breakfast - so much more personal than big hotels. Great to hear about the family run farm and get tips about local things, as well as meeting other travellers from different states and countries.
We really enjoyed our stay at Bryce Trails B&B! Located about 20 minutes outside of Bryce Canyon Park, it was a quiet place, away from the touristy feel of the closer hotels. Beautiful views, quiet location, very friendly hosts, and delicious breakfasts, sitting with other guests and sharing National Park stories! We loved our first floor room with its patio where we could watch the sunset over Bryce and see the deer walk by!
Everything! Chilling on the porch, the super comfortable bedrooms, cooking and having diner in the beautiful kitchen, the huge TV with smartphone connectivity, close to a supermarket, free parking on the property, …
Also the town Tropic is pleasant (nice coffee shop and restaurants).
It’s a 15 min drive to Bryce; ideal for watching the sunrise at the canyon.
Joe and Emily are wonderful hosts! They have a beautiful family. It was quiet in Tropic and about 10 miles to Bryce Canyon NP. There is a nice restaurant with live music about 1/2 mile down the road towards Tropic. Breakfast was great and the room was comfortable.
This BnB was so cute and was at such a convenient location (just 15-20 minutes to the Bryce Canyon visitors center). The room was larger than I expected and very clean. Also, the breakfast was so good! Way better than any hotel breakfast I've ever had.
Amazing bnb! The owners are so friendly and helpful! Everything was really easy with them.
The room is huge, clean and perfect! The breakfast was cooked by the owner and really tasty! It is really closed to the bryce canyon. We recommend this hotel.
Location was quiet and had beautiful scenery all around, so it felt remote, yet was conveniently close to amenities in Tropic and a short drive to Bryce Canyon. The on-site restaurant, the Stone Canyon Grill was quite good for dinner.
Bybees was the perfect location for what we came to see. Check in process was simple, the gentleman (wish I had got his name) was very informative about what to see in Bryce Canyon. He even told us about Tropic and places to eat !!
Spacious clean cabin with comfortable beds and pillows. The cabin has a tv, microwave, and small refrigerator. Plenty of soap, shampoo and conditioner. The cabins are centrally located near restaurants and general store.
Great location (We did a hike in Bryce Canyon entering from the Tropic Trail). The lodge itself isn't too spacious but has everything you need. Small market across the street as well as a few fine restaurants.
Great location near Bryce Canyon, and a great apartment. Very comfortable, very clean, well-equipped. We instantly felt at home. And Jennifer is a lovely and dedicated host :)
The location of Tropic was good for visiting Bryce Canyon. We enjoyed Showdowns for dinner, gas and ice for our cooler was right down the street as well as a great BBQ place.
The town of Tropic was adorable. The location of the cabins to the town and national parks was great. The appearance of the cabins was attractive from the outside.
Location was ideal for Bryce Canyon and other canyons. Tropic was great. House was spacious, well equipped, washing machine and drier great. Price was good.
