It was not luxurious, but it was definitely worth the dollar
Clean and in the heart of where I needed to be
It was very hard to find--no Day's Inn sign. The room was dirty. The bathroom was dirty. The whole place was in bad repair. The breakfast was over by 9 am but that was ok because my partner said the only thing available was a muffin. I would not recommend.

The hotel is not as it’s pictured.
The hotel is not as it’s pictured. At least, not by judging the room I was in. I suspect they had just finished renovating when the pictures were taken years ago because the room had curtains not fully hanging on the window, it smelled musty, the bathroom wasn’t big enough to change your mind and no lid on the toilet. The window unit AC had, what looked like, mold around the part between the window and AC unit. It just appears that there is no pride in keeping the property nicely maintained, as though they’ve just given up even trying. The continental breakfast is typical nowadays with rubbery, pre cooked eggs, breakfast cereal in their individual containers, dry bread for toast, small yogurts, etc. The coffee is ONLY served at breakfast. The motel can’t even keep fresh coffee throughout the day. Every hotel/motel I have ever stayed in had fresh coffee all through the day into the evening and some were 24 hours per day. The motel did not appear to be anywhere near booked (I honestly believe they had, at best, 8 guests), yet I was not given a room in the main building. Honestly, I’m an older lady with disabilities and was put on the 1st floor. I didn’t feel safe at all. I just will never book there again.

This area is a bit of a hidden gem.
This area is a bit of a hidden gem. So many great things to see. The walking trail along the lake is great for exercise and for views of the lake. There is wildlife to see, shopping to do, many delicious restaurants. There are many water ways to explore by boat and the people are very friendly. Must less city driven then other areas of Florida. If you are looking for a more low key vacation, this is the spot for you.

Was disappointed how the room needs updated.
Was disappointed how the room needs updated. Wifi did not work even after I complained. The breakfast was a joke. Only toast and muffins that were made by someone instead of sealed. Not much of choices.

This is a great small town, everyone was courteous and helpful that I came in contact with. Almost wish I had time to explore some of the natural areas a bit more, as it is really beautiful in this part of the state. Lovely farms and ranches, parks, interesting restaurants. It was just a very nice place to visit.

Okeechobee is a nice quiet fishing town... been here many times. People are very friendly. Not much to do tho!! Went to The Speckled Perch for dinner.. They were packed so service was slow and our dinner took an hour. But the filet was awesome.. the sirloin was tuff and the ribeye was extra fatty.. after talking with the server and explaining I was in the service industry, she took the sirloin off the bill and gave us all dessert to take home.. I would give it another chance when I return.
The room was comfortable, it seemed like the Hotel was in the middle of upgrading the rooms. The wall covering in the bathroom was separating from the wall in spots. And I had to correctly replace the light cover in the bathroom. The room had been hastily clean. The floor had been sweep, but not moped! Spilled some water, and got it up with paper towels...the paper towels was black, no exaggeration.
Breakfast was great. The hotel was very clean. When we first got there the front desk lady was rude and was on a personal call and I waiting until she was done. She seemed to assume something about the person I was with and did not like us. We were polite to her did not say anything but found her very cold and judgmental. Other than that all the other staff was great.
There was no breakfast at this location. Front desk guy was surly. Price was same as other low cost hotels in the city but very noisy location. Train came through blaring it's horn at midnight, and then the trash truck emptied the dumpsters behind the rooms at 6am, banging the dumpsters and making lots of noise. The room is clean but very basic. The walls are thin.
We got allergy sypthomes while we were in this hotel, there was smell of mold in the room. i was not stopped sneezing and my friend got cough that didnt go away.
we had a fingerprints all over the bed wood, you can see the room was not proptely cleaned.
Please give a comment if you also get a sneezing while you are in that motel.
It was the only hotel that wasn’t sold out due to a fishing competition. And it was in Okeechobee, which is where we were visiting. The room was clean (ish), so my hat goes off to the housekeeping crew who are probably underpaid for attempting to shine this otherwise should-be condemned building.
The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. There was no carpet on the floor which means that the room did not have that "hotel" smell and was easily cleaned. There was no hair dryer in the room but I was able to get one as soon as I asked. The front desk staff was very friendly.
Breakfast was just ok nothing great. Pretty much just ok for everything. Bathroom had a fan which for some strange reason isn't normal for a hotel but it was a plus for me. For $200/night I expected more. $125 would've made it a good deal.
Very old. Needs updating or remodeled badly. Old rusty appliances in the king suites. No.plates, utensils, pots, glasses. Too much money for what this hotel provided and looked like. Worth the drive and comfort to stay on the coast.
The location was perfect it wasn't crowded or busy. The local residents were very friendly. We come to Okeechobee at least a few times a year for fishing tournaments, we're definitely going to stay again.
Best priced accomodation that I have ever found in Florida. It's not a palace but still beats other motels and "cheap" hotels of that kind. The room is quite nice for the standard. Pleasantly surprised.
That’s the hotel I booked a Jacuzzi room I was assured over the phone everything was good got to the hotel and gave me a totally different
room and said they couldn’t help me with any of my needs
The location was lovely, alongside Lake Okeechobee. The pool and surroundings were excellent. The greeter was very pleasant in explaining our room was t ready, but we were early so no problem.
