I enjoy the history of the town and the beautiful architecture of the buildings, especially the DeWitt County Courthouse. Cuero also has several museums and antique shops all in walking distance with nice little eateries tucked between. The city park is an amazing attraction with ducks to feed, fishing off the pier or shore, picnicing pagodas with handy grills adjacent. The golf course is just across the wzy from that beautiful serene lake. There is a swimming pool with $2.⁰⁰ admission, a splash pad, and large covered area to play basketball. There are just so many options fòr things to do here! Enjoy

Cuero is not a big town, but it has a lot of history and character. Try to see some of the museums in town, particularly the Chisum Trail museum and the Pharmacy museum, both in the downtown area. There are others as well, but we liked these two best. You can see all the museums in a day since they are all small, but check days and hours and plan ahead. They are not all open every day.

Cuero is an easy 30-minute drive to Victoria and 1:20 to the beach (Port O’Connor). Hotel rates in Cuero were lower than at comparable properties in those areas. Chisholm Trail Museum is well worth a visit.

We drove around town for a short while and it had some interesting buildings that would have been fun to instigate more but we were on a very short time line. The people we interacted in the businesses were usually very friendly but that is pretty much the norm in small town Texas. It's a beautiful small town that seems to have a lot of spirit and pride and seems to be growing. Very easy to find your way around.
