We liked the convenience to Tallahassee, where our family activities were. We liked the selection of good seafood restaurants in the area. We liked that the area is quiet, no big rushing traffic like in Tallahassee.

It was a very short stay, but what I can say for sure is they do not have full service kitchens open late, except for fast food. We had to go to Winn Dixie to get some food and bring it to the hotel. There were walking and biking trails on site and the highlight was the boat tour with an entertaining and informative commentary by Colin the park ranger. We had lunch and dinner in the hotel and thoroughly enjoyed both.

The location was close to Tallahassee but not many restaurants near the hotel, I loved the gazebo. We could enjoy sitting outside. We had a nice picture window that looked out on the wooded scenery.

It was super clean, smelled fresh, the room was spacious and cozy. Breakfast was excellent with eggs, links and biscuit and all other regular breakfast items. We will be happy to stay there again when we are in the area.

I believe that they don’t maintain AC continuously, and this being Florida, the mold/mildew smell can get really bad. They did place a dehumidifier in the room, which helped.
