Overall Gulfport is a beautiful place to visit.
Overall Gulfport is a beautiful place to visit. So much to do...rather fishing walking in the very nice parks, lodging on the beach eating or going to the casino. And let's not forget shopping at the Outlet mall. It really is a nice vacation spot. Wild wings is very affordable and has very good food. Texas Roadhouse is a good one as well. Clean room with a comfy bed at a good price. Breakfast was solid and coffee was actually pretty decent. Heater in the room was loud and cycled on multiple times per hour making getting a good night sleep challenging.

Gulfport is wonderful!
Gulfport is wonderful! Area restaurants are great, always someplace to go for good music and seafood! Traffic is easy to work with. Some public transportation for local things. Try to fly into Gulfport/Biloxi instead of New Orleans. Easy drive (85 min.) to NOLA.

Beach was OK. Water is not good at all. If you get a late start going out at night, you might want to make plans in advance to make sure you can find a place to eat. We were there on Memorial Day. Nothing was going on, there wasn’t any traffic- no people roaming around, nothing!! Activity centers closed at 10pm.Phipps - 10Scored 10
I love Gulfport!
I love Gulfport! The outlets are there, casinos, beach and lots of nice places to eat. There are plenty of things to do for everyone. It is only four hours from where I live so not a bad weekend trip! The outlets have lots of nice shops to shop at. It is really big. The have casinos in town if you are into that. They have endless hotels, restaurants, lovely beach and places to shop. You are not far from New Orleans if you want to go into Florida so all the way around a central area. I was so hard to find at night.
I was so hard to find at night. We saw it from I-10, but for the life of me, we could not figure out how to get to the front of the motel. We tried the Flying J and Wendy's, but I guess we had to work around Wendy's. It was too dark to even be sure of the road and then it had turns that were hard to see.

The bed slept very good and the hotel was very clean. However, the bathroom needs touching up and the room wasn't worth the weekend cost. I appreciate the overnight stay but if I stayed again, it would have to be during the week for a lower cost than on the weekend. Check-in process was easy since I had a reservation. I love that it was close to I-10 and it didn't take long to go any other places that I needed.

I personally dislike hotels with carpet. The beds were super comfy and the sheets were clean. The maintenance man was awesome! My mom’s room was next door: her key didn’t work upon check-in, and we noticed our toilet leaked a little.. he fixed both problems before we could fully get our bags down. He deserves a raise!
