Great small town atmosphere with quaint shops great restaurants on the waterfront. The people are friendly and accommodating. There are numerous things to do, boat tours, museums, and the best beach in the world in 15 miles north Rolf downtown.

We enjoyed the view of the sunrise from our room.

We enjoyed the view of the sunrise from our room. The Marina with the boats across from our stay was heart warming to family memories. I believe we could stay again for the blessing of location. The hospitality of the staff was very good.

    Getting around was easy.

Getting around was easy. The streets were filled with charming old homes and businesses. My favorite spot was walking down Front Street. I took a 4-hour "shelling and lighthouse sightseeing" tour. I was mainly disappointed. If riding around the bay for hours is your "thing" then it was OK. However, when we got to the the lighthouse we only saw it in passing because you are not allowed on the grounds. The shelling part was OK if you could walk fast to get to where the good shells were and get back to the boat in time. I couldn't. So, I got no shells but MANY bug bites. There literally was blood running down my legs from horse fly bites. Another "shelling" tour boat was just pulling away from the island as we were pulling up. They got the good shells. Out of our whole boat 4 large whole shells were found. I was hoping for a different result from the trip as a whole.

We attended the South Carolina Youth Sporting Clays event at Backwoods Quail Club. It was wonderful! We have attended several shoots there and always had a great experiences there. We also had dinner at El Cerro. The food was great as well as our server.

The entire place was dirty - our towels were stained, bath mat stained, stairs up to the second level were rusted out, dirt on hair dryer handle, dirty towel in the parking lot that had been run over a number of times, pool was disgusting - completely green with algae. Nothing to like.

Our room faced the marina, which was really nice. The beds were fairly comfortable and I loved the pillows. Loved that the heat/cool was run on a thermostat--made it very easy to get to the proper temperature. The dining area for the breakfast was nicer than I expected, as was the breakfast (although wish there had been bread to make toast). Everything was nice and clean.

The location was excellent--great outdoor spaces. The staff were exceptionally helpful and nice! The hotel itself was beautiful, nicely decorated. Valet was great both days. Our view wasn't great but that was because we didn't have a water view. The water view is awesome!

The breakfast was great and the location was convenient to all the sites we had planned to visit. We travel 2-3 times a year, and Georgetown was the friendliest place we have visited to date! We will definitely be back!

Nice and clean, nice staff, reasonable price. Right next to the bar where it's walking distance. Nice and quiet. Beautiful water view. Well keep up units. I would book here if I have to come back to Georgetown.

The location on the waterfront was lavishly packed; however the wallpaper appeared outdated. The rooms are small and enclosed close together. I personally would not recommend the hotel to family and friends.

Nothing. Although clean the hotel is nasty, horrible and very very scruffy. We checked in and left almost immediately after seeing the rooms. We lost our money, but couldn't stay here.
