Starkville is a small college town. I came for graduation. The campus is beautiful and usually if you are coming to Starkville is is for college related events. They have a lot of restaurants. I recommend Harvey’s steak house, Walt-on’s sports bar and restaurant or The famous Bulldog Burger. They won’t disappoint. It is easy to get wherever you want to go.

We were there for our son's graduation from MSU. We ate at Umi Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar in Columbus, MS for dinner. The hibachi was amazing, and our server was excellent! Highly recommend Umi...there is also a location in Starkville.

We were there on a rainy day and still the town and Mississippi State were awesome. We’re already planning a vacation this summer. Also, my daughter loves the place, the people and the atmosphere. We’ll worth the trip and more in the future. The Montgomery B&B capped it all off as the best place to stay when you visit Starkville.

We love starkville. #hailstate!
We love starkville. #hailstate! Bulldog burger is my #1 favorite place to eat but great runner ups are mugshots and staggerin bar and grill. Not to mention we are die hard CFA fans. StrangeBrew coffee house has the best coffee and hot chocolate- yes better than starbucks. There isnt many places to shop in the area but Columbus is 20 mins away if you needed like a mall. We like to attend the MSU games and walk around dirt cheap🤪

Time limited us from seeing the city.
Time limited us from seeing the city. Other than the hotel and the campus, we went to Walmart for gas and a few extra items. What we saw appeared clean, well kept, good variety of restaurants and shops.

I have been working in Starkville for a year, staying in town 2 - 4 nights per week. For a college town with a major university in it there is not a lot to do here. There are some great restaurants and the basic shopping to meet your needs but not much else. Traffic is pretty bad when school is in session. There is one movie theater, one super Walmart, on Kroger, and that's about it.
We booked guest for a conference last year and had a very bad experience with hotel cleanliness and upkeep. Our guest found a fake fingernail in her bed and repeatedly asking front desk to send someone to change sheets that were visibly not clean.
We gave them the benefit of the doubt for this year’s conference after speaking with the manager and head front desk clerk about last year’s incident but to no avail, the same unclean, deplorable conditions were evident this year to our guest. We ended up moving our guest to another hotel.
We selected the Montgomery B&B for a change of pace from our standard hotel stays when traveling for business. It exceeded all expectations. The house was beautiful. The bed was amazing. The towels were soft. The room was spotless. Good water pressure. When I was asked for an iron, one was quickly presented. Lynn made us a wonderful breakfast in the morning.... We are grateful for the kind welcome from such a generous host and you will be glad you booked a room at this B&B.
This was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in as far as cleanliness and comfort. There were stains on the furniture that looked like blood, cracks/hole in the wall, bed was hard, quilt was so heavy it felt like it was full of dust mites, the air conditioner did not cool, no pressure in the dirty shower, elevators and hallways were nasty, no refrigerator and dead bugs in the room.
In town for a Dr visit ,the hotel was near to appt. Hotel was clean ,staff was friendly, no problems ,we always stay in this hotel when we come to Starkville ,mattress was comfortable , good night sleepe
I enjoy staying at this hotel as I visit my Bulldog in Starkville. Stay has always been excellent. Clean room, hot shower, great inclusive hot breakfast. will be back!
I liked nothing about the hotel or the rooms. The room on the website was false advertising. The room was filthy had stains every where the comfort had holes in it.
Beautiful property! Our go to now when we travel to Starkville. We stayed in the cabin this trip… It was quaint and cozy and exceeded our expectations!
