Right up front the area was sketchy. Staff was very nice. The room was old and not super clean. The shower had hair all in it and the shower head was leaking really bad. Went to the desk to tell them and nothing was ever done about it for the 2 days we were there. Also we asked for fresh towels and that never happened. We won't be back to this location.

Location was easy. Spent 4.5 hours booking hotel and paying more than other hotel was and red roofs was extremely terrible conditions compared to cheaper hotel that was canceled prior, which was exceptionally frustrating! Also, 1 and only amenity requested, breakfast was not offered, wasn't even able to make a cup of coffee!

I wrote my review and sent you pictures of my room and the fluid on the chair. And you intentionally left that out of my review. You are deceiving your clients and basically putting them in danger. I wonder did someone report that same room to you before and you choose not to let people know how unsafe that nasty place is

For a city of this size the entertainment was very disappointing. There are one or two bars in the downtown area but overall its not a nice place to walk around after dark. Not much of interest to do and see apart from the Civil Rights route and related buildings which are by far the highlights of the city. If you are interested in sport, the wonderful Rickwood Field baseball stadium (the oldest standing ballpark in U.S.) is a real gem, just a few miles out of town.

I'm biased because I lived here for college, but there are local attractions live Vulcan the Iron Man are worth visiting over a few days. Five Points South is probably the hub of nightlife. UAB football isn't as big as Alabama or Auburn, but it's the south and well college football.

I was there to be present for a relative's surgery at UAB hospital, you could not ask for a better location than this for access to the hospital. The parking deck next to the hotel has a sky walk that goes directly to the facility.

We loved our room, the kickback and breakfast was wonderful and it is located
Close to restaurants and store.
All employees were very friendly and accommodating.
We traveled with a small dog. I loved that you were able to go out side doors and our key opened the door. The price of 50.00 each night was a little steep but our dog loved it.
Von was fantastic! Upon arriving at the hotel, he made us feel very welcome. He had a smile on his face, helped us add our Bonvoy number to the reservation, answered questions related to parking our vehicle. He was very friendly and attentive. When we went to the shop area of the lobby, he volunteered information on how it worked and what some items were. It was nice to see a kind, friendly face upon arrival and during our stay.
My annual Solo trip. This is truly an exceptional, historical, luxury level hotel. 10+ on every aspect of service, accommodation, location, and consistency each year. From the restaurant/lounge, front entrance, outdoor seating, private event spaces, and valet parking 💯 % the greatest experience of ANY hotel in the Linn Park area. Looking forward to next year's visit 😊
Great area, close to restaurants, grocery stories, etc. Felt more like an Airbnb instead of a hotel. Quiet and very cozy and spacious. My mom and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We purchased groceries and cooked every night. It was great that the room was stocked with silverware and cooking tools. If we ever come back to Birmingham, we know where we would stay. :)
Loved old restored building. Bell Boy/Valet un packed my Highlander placed items on cart and brought to my room! Then brought luggage in room! We had room with view. It was like how Hotels used to be! We will definitely stay there again in our next trip to beautiful Downtown Birmingham!
The bed had to be good cause I didn’t wake up with backache. Good beds!
The room the staff the safety at this location. There was 2 ladies at the front desk that were so amazing. The older white lady was so amazing to me and my 3 year old son . They had a little crafts at the front door for valentine's day that was so amazing. The Blairstown and best family friendly hotel I ever seen
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room and property was outstanding.
I Transferred from La Quinta in Birmingham - Inverness. It was a very dirty floor in room. Showed video of floor to manager he simply said “I’ll have housekeeping take care of it!” Offered no apology or compensation.
Lovely little bungalow, very clean and nicely updated. Plenty of kitchen supplies (pots pans dishes etc), super clean appliances, bath nicely updated, beds and bedding were very comfortable. Off street parking was nice in an up and coming neighborhood with easy access to downtown Birmingham.
Clean hotel - Friendly Staff - Good location. This hotel checked all of the boxes for a quick overnight through Birmingham. Although are we are empty nesters, this looked like an awesome place for families. There were lots of them there and they really seemed to be enjoying themselves.
I didn’t have breakfast but it looked really good. Staff were very nice and helpful when asking for information. The room was clean and there was everything you needed in the bath and it was large and loved it. The beds were comfortable and unlike most hotels the thermostat worked!
they had a "happy hour" that was great, and breakfast was the best I have had at a hotel. and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was huge and even had a kitchen. I was sorry I only had time to stay one night.
Facilities and staff were good...No problems to report, which, having stayed in quite a few hotels over the years, makes it above average....Not the best ever, but very nice...I would stay here again.
