Uptown Whittier has improved significantly with more dining options. Some places have live music. One of my favorite restaurants is California Grill on Philadelphia St. Huge menu, and (heated) patio seating with live music.
Greenleaf St is the main street for restaurants, bars and shopping and is a 5 min walk from Calif Grill.

Felt like Home! Cozy, and quiet. Shops, stores and food locations all conveniently close by, less than 5 minutes away from whatever you want or need. Everyone basically sticks to themselves, which is what I like!

Whittier Doubletree is perfectly located if you like to walk around Uptown, with historical buildings and some great, casual restaurants. We stayed on a Wednesday when the city puts on a street fair just a short 2 blocks from hotel, every week in summer. We walked everywhere and enjoyed the peaceful and fun environment.
Doubletree Hilton in Whittier has great FREE parking.

Able to easily reconnect with friends and church family in the area. Lots of food options nearby. Convenient location, but eastbound access off busy Whittier Blvd requires a U-turn to get back to the hotel entrance.

The Lambert Inn is a truly nasty place.
The Lambert Inn is a truly nasty place. Uncomfortable and a safety hazard. Funature broken. Electrical problems not much light so very dim. See my earlier review and the one I put on yelp. I wouldn't have a biker gang stay there nor a trucker. I've stayed in cleaner and more comfortable accommodations in the Philippines or in Vietnam and we were at war.
I paid for 4 days. I only stayed 1 night. I was told no refunds. All I am asking is the money I am owed for the3 days I didn't use the Lambert Inn.

I forgot to say that the Inn is in a very good location as far as many inexpensive restaurants go, as well as 2 shopping malls, a Trader Joe’s and a Ralphs market: all within a 10 to 20 minute walk. NORMS is open 24/7 and gives senior discounts….They have excellent breakfasts any time.
The view from La'Oasis is stunning. The rooms had a perfect size, and the living area is well equipped with a large flatscreen and high-end audio. In the kitchen we found everything we needed (and more). We also enjoyed the beautiful garden, the terrace and the patio. Nate is a perfect host who communicates effectively and replies literally immediately. All neighbors we met were friendly and helpful. We loved every moment of our trip to Whittiers!
This is probably a dated Days Inn building because the rooms are larger than what is standard in new hotels of this category. Very efficient staff service, relatively complete amenities, and the price is relatively outstanding. We did a road trip for 2 weeks and stayed in different accommodations every night so were able to compare prices. For the quality of stay, this one stands out in the price category.
It was cheap. I checked in after the office was closed (so used the outside window) and left before check-out time expired. A basic room at a basic price—$100/night vs. $150/night at the other place I considered on Greenleaf. There were plenty of outlets for all my electronic gear, including USB ports to plug in my stuff.
Everyone at the hotel was so nice and so professional. The room was clean, quiet and spacious. I had a problem with the toilet but I called front desk and they sent someone right away and fixed it. There were excellent eateries in walking distance and the hotel has free parking. I will definitely be staying there again.
It was one of the best staying experiences for our entire family. Jessica is a great host that makes your accommodation feel like a "home away from home." Our kids enjoyed the entire living space. Only 15 min away from Disneyland. Highly recommended for any family planning to visit Disney California.
Great location close to our grandkids. Room smelled good and was clean. Bathroom was well stocked and also clean. Our room was on the 1st floor. They had USB plugs. Mini fridge is always a plus, it's should be standard in all rooms at all hotels now. No bed bugs!
I have stayed here before and I already love
the hotel, the staff and the location.
The cleaners are always working really hard and cleaned our room twice in our 6 night stay - the staff are attentive and kind. I seriously love staying at the Hilton in Whittier.
The man who checked my husband in was helpful, his room wasn’t ready so he was upgraded to a “suite” .. his reaction “lets just say if I was in the suite I’d hate to see the regular rooms! “ But he just needed a place to sleep one night and it was very cheap so…
