Buellton is the perfect place to explore the San Ynez Valley. Incredibly, there are several towns, just a few minutes apart, with distinctly different vibes. There are dozens of wineries just minutes apart. I wish I had time to name each town, the restaurants, wineries and experiences I had in a too short amount of time, but trust me! I wish I’d stayed longer .

Buellton tends to be overlooked for Solvang but Solvang hotel prices are vastly higher and is only about a 10-minute drive from Buellton. You've still got easy access to restaurants in both Buellton and Solvang, the shops in Solvang, and gas stations + a major grocery store in Buellton. Why pay higher prices for Solvang when you can stay at nice places in Buellton?

There's not a ton to do within Bueltton itself but it's a great central point to stay so you can take day trips to other nearby spots. There are plenty of tasty restaurants plus a couple of markets so food options even for finicky eaters or those with allergies can still find something. If anything, avoid the middle to end of summer: too freaking hot and too many tourists.
Food options within Buellton that I've personally eaten at, recommend, and have online menus to check out before you go: Pea Soup Andersons, Ellen's Pancake House, Eddie's Grill, & Rudy's Mexican Restaurant (all within a 2-minute radius off the 101 highway).

The room was large with a small refrigerator and microwave and a small coffee maker.
When arriving to the room the air conditioner was not working. Problem was quickly solved, after we called the desk. :) This hotel has no elevators so if you have trouble taking a suitcase up approximately 15 or more steps you should be aware of this.
The sliding door in our room opened and you had a view of the pool. You could hear people enjoying the pool. We did leave the door open (it had a screen (hole in it) but kept it open because of the nice breeze and it got quite cool out.
I cannot comment on the breakfast because we left early. The breakfast was served at the Gazebo by the pool outside.

The clerk was incompetent I was charged twice on my account for the room that I rented my bank account was overdrawn I was charged overdraft fees on my bank account the manager there returned the second charge to my account he paid me backI was charged an overdraft fee because my bank is overdrawn because of this error of the Motel six employees responsibility
Rooms were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Nevertheless, the thing impressed us the most was the design of this hotel. It's very finely decorated, with such a good taste in colors and furnishing, it definitely made our one-night stay more pleasant. It's a convenient inn, located right next to the highway. It includes an interesting breakfast service: they ask you to leave a card outside your room filled with your preferences and time for breakfast to be delivered. Really nice touch!
The airstream was adorable and it was great having access to a gas grill with sink for cooking. The resort has a lot of amenities (we didn't use any of them, but my parents did and enjoyed the hot tub and pool). The bed was comfy and overall it was a great stay for us and our pup. The value for the area was excellent, this is close to the highway right near downtown Buellton.
I thought the location was fine, until I noticed on my bill I was charged a BOOKING FEE! $96.00 for a "cheap" room! This is the first time I have encounter this, so BE CAREFUL! I did not see anything telling me about this fee until AFTER it was booked. I assume this is some is an arrangement the hotel has made with BOOKING.com.
We loved accesible everything was. At first, We were hesitant to try out the pool/jacuzzi because of the cold but it was nice and warm. We loved the continental breakfast! We wouldnt change anything all! We cant wait to come back around the Winter. We found our hotel to stay for family trips in solvang❤️ thank you!!
Good location, lots of nearby restaurants and shops, ample parking. Very friendly and helpful staff on 24 hour reception desk - I was given some good recommendations for nearby wineries to visit, where to have dinner and they kindly rang my next hotel for me as I was having issues contacting them.
I did not expect to pay for my own breakfast for such an expensive stay at Marriott. The staff making breakfast forgot to place items in my breakfast to go bag. I had to ask twice for certain items that were missing. The bar area was fun but could use a little music playing.
I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It was so nice and very clean. I thought it was a brand new hotel, but was told it was 5 years old. I loved that it was dog friendly. The room was large and comfortable. I will defiantly stay there again.
Great and reasonable choice in the middle of Buellton. Clean room and friendly staff. Ample parking. Very good base to go and explore this delightful part of California! Around 10 mins walk from the Hitching Post II, as per the Sideways film!
This was a great hotel close to Solvang and surrounding areas. It was clean and new. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pits at night! It also had an excellent hot breakfast with a good variety of foods to chose from.
I was traveling back from So Cal and was ill and needed a hotel to stay to get rest and recover a bit. I needed to extend and the staff was wonderful and accommodating. Clean and comfortable.
The property itself is adorable and very well kept. it’s located next to its sister property with h is a campsite so you can do the hotel or camping. best of both worlds.
The hotel has nice facilities and a friendly staff. The spa was great and the putting greens are a nice touch. The location is perfect for visiting the central coast.
This hotel is in a great location relative to Solvang. The room is clean and comfy for us. The complimentary breakfast is always really good and convenient.
