LaFayette is located in a beautiful rural area of Georgia with rolling hills easily accessible to Atlanta Georgia and Chattanooga Tennessee. The city was clean, well-kept, definitely a piece of Southern Americana at its best. We found navigating route 136 a bit challenging returning from our wedding venue without using our gps.

Lafayette is a typical small, North Georgia city.
Lafayette is a typical small, North Georgia city. Your usual strip malls and big box stores and a couple of historic sites. The heart of downtown is attractive. A state park and a golf course is nearby. We enjoyed a good, home-cooked dinner at the Dairy Dip.
