Driving over the mountains from Fresno to Mojave it is a fascinating landscape as the land turns more arid and the 100's of wind turbines dominate the hills on entering the town. Lots to see and lots of sun.

After reading some other reviews I decided to add some things to mine. Regarding the train noise - Mojave is a small town, every motel/hotel is along the same street which happens to be across from the train tracks. Trains carry a multitude of products and keep many trucks off our highways. We went sightseeing at Red Rock Canyon State Park, it was amazing. Rockhounding was also a hit. Our room was clean and supplied with soap, shampoo, and coffee supplies. We had plenty hot water and pressure.

The couple that manage the motel are very professional and efficient. They remembered us from previous stays as if we were part of their family. Expect a small comfortable room with microwave, refrigerator and coffee pot. Do not assume this is a fancy place. Just steps from your car, move in, fix a microwaveable entree, and relax. Lots of cable channels. Wake up, get your own breakfast from your own supplies, leave before 11. Easy if you are prepared. Good bed, shower. Small shampoo packet and soap, so bring your own amenities for more comfort.

Mojave is a tiny town with lots of evidence of the presence of NASA. There were a few restaurants like Denny's and McDonald's which served my needs just fine. There's a train that runs through the town, and that made me feel right at home since I live near the tracks in Gallup, NM. I really enjoyed my stint through Family Dollar and was able to pick up a few things I needed. A nice little town in the middle of the desert - truly in the middle of "nowhere". A welcome relief after many hours of driving.

I used to stay in Bakersfield while traveling between CA and AZ. But the air in Mojave is clean, the Desert Inn is awesome, plenty of places to eat and get gas, it's not crowded, and had the charm of a high desert town.
Bed felt like a toddler mattress, hard, thin, and covered in plastic, pillows were flat. No fridge and I came for work so at least I had a cooler. House cleaning came into my room but took my bath mat and didn’t make my bed. They replaced my towel which was unnecessary and left me confused. Mojave motels shouldn’t be able to charge this amount. This is Mojave, good luck, I bought a trailer.
Entry to motor lodge and room were by remote keycode. Inside felt secure. The location is a really short walking distance to fast food (McDonalds, Jack-in-the-Box, Starbucks). Short drive to the Mojave Air & Space Port.
While mostly automated, I did run into the building manager, a long-time local resident, in the morning and had a nice chat about the history of the building.
good comfortable motel 6, rooms in the back are quiet and away from trains with view of airplane long term parking( for the fans). lots of regular customers who stay long term, friendly and minding there own business. I was a unsure about this hotel given earlier reviews, this was not necessary. gas station next to hotel carries cereal and milk for breakfast
W were in transit, so stayed 1 night. The staff were lovely and friendly. The room was very clean and spacious. We had 2 queen beds and they were so comfortable. The view from our room was just beautiful. It was great to have a fridge and microwave as a lot of hotels don't provide this as standard. We would stay here again.
This was a modern Comfort Inn which met or exceeded all my requirements. Located out of the Mojave town centre it was quiet as it is well away from Highway 14 and the railroad tracks. That does mean one has to drive to eat buy the quiet comfort was preferable.
The room was extra large with an extra large king bed and loads of pillows. Comfort Inn & Suites is easily the nicest place in Mojave and it’s just off the busy highway, so nice and quiet. The included breakfast was great
Unfortunately the hotel is near some railroad tracks and the freight trains are rather loud This probably true for most of the other motels in this town as the road runs right along the rr tracks.
Bed was comfortable, room was clean, bathroom was modern - room actually looked better than the hotel outside and in the registration area. To be honest, I almost left until I saw the room.
Everything after crossing the Mohave Desert on a motorcycle from Vegas. Desk was polite and quick, room was comfortable, breakfast got us ready for another long day in the saddle.
Very clean and exceptionally well maintained property in Mojave. The house has its own charm. Top place to stay in if you visit the region to enjoy natural beauty of Mojave.
