Albuquerque is the biggest city in New Mexico in the USA and home to the International Balloon Fiesta during October. Rich in history, this beautiful destination has Pueblo Revival-style architecture with Sandia Mountains in the background.
Popular from the Bugs Bunny cartoon phrase, ‘I knew I should’ve taken that left turn at Albuquerque’, this metropolitan place is crossed by the Rio Grande River. Travellers should not miss the city’s old town with the 18th-century buildings, narrow streets and cosy restaurants serving Mexican dishes.
Lush in greenery, Albuquerque features the Rio Grande Botanic Garden and the Rio Grande Zoo. You can take the Sandia Peak Tramway and enjoy the panoramic views of the city, the mountains and the surrounding areas.
The Albuquerque International Sunport is located 6.3 km away and serves Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Booking.com will help you find the right hotel, motel or inn in Albuquerque and the nearby towns of Rio Rancho, Mesa Village and Alameda.
We were only able to stay a single night. We look forward to returning to Albuquerque to explore the area. We were able to dine in the Old Town area and walk around a bit, but there is much more to the city. Next time!

Wonderful part of NM but you have to watch the neighborhoods you go to in the city itself. It is a wonderful home base for traveling around northern NM as it is less expensive than Santa Fe. Great restaurants like El Patron and Flying Star and don't miss Old Town or the BioPark. Its nice East/West street orientation makes is easy to get around and both 40 and 25 are good roads.

Traffic congestion, everyone speeding and tailgating, trash...
Traffic congestion, everyone speeding and tailgating, trash blowing around, homeless people everywhere, and unsafe. Very hot in summer months, dusty, and dry. Flat roof and stucco architecture result in a third world country appearance.
People are friendly, and it has an old world sort of charm. The national parks are interesting, as are the science and hot air balloon and telephone museums. The tram to the Sandia ski lift is scenic. Great Mexican food.

This is a city you should avoid... coming in on the highway...
This is a city you should avoid... coming in on the highway from the West, the first thing you see is drifts of trash along the highway. When you get closer, it just seems like fentanyl and homelessness central. It does have some nice places for sure, such as the Southwest jewelry shopping. I'm sure a lot of people would point to worse cites like Chicago, but still there are much nicer cities.
Well. Outdated. Trying to hard to be uptown. Decent but blah!!! Rooms were tolerable. I am a world traveler and pretty selective about where I stay. I do really on Booking.com input from fellow travelers. I do not recommend this hotel. Better places in Albuquerque than this to stay at half the price!!! Location was ok. I did like the parking garage. But, a little spooky no one around anywhere. Staff was decent, not rude. Just indifferent. Nothing special or unique about this hotel. Misses the mark in my opinion.
Breakfast not included in price but good breakfast was available in cantina downstairs. Good location, walking distance to old town. Good and easy parking with security guard. Room was comfortable and big. Hotel is quite old but in good shape. Very nice and big hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice balcony with views to albuquerque. There was maybe some party just outside balcony in nearby venue and live music could be heard in room but this stopped quite early in evening
Rooms were on top floor and adjacent as requested. We were on side away from the freeway so were quiet. Internet wifi worked well. Everything was clean and king-sized bed was very comfortable. Front-desk staff were very helpful and friendly. Location within three miles of the airport car rental facility was convenient and made out quick trip to Albuquerque easier. The included breakfast was good. A renovation has updated this hotel.
Best Airport Hotel I have ever stayed in while traveling through the U.S. One of the finest in Albuquerque for sure....Clean room, great variety hot breakfast, and very kind, friendly, and accommodating staff. Specials thanks to Consolee working the evening shift when I arrived. She made me feel very welcome and eager to help out with some tech issues I had with my smartphone....THANK YOU.
The location was perfect near airport.. room was clean and comfortable. BUT SMELLED OF SEWAGE!!! Gross.. we were advised the sewer pipes were being replaced and I asked that they compensate us for not letting us know on check in.. we were told we would get a $60 refund but not honored at check out. We were overcharged for parking.. terrible
Sandia Peak Inn is conveniently located if you want to explore Albuquerque, especially for visiting Old Town. The Hotel itself is exceptionally clean, has big rooms, a laundry facility and sufficient AC. What makes it really outstanding is the friendliness of the owners and the funky design of the exterior - we really enjoyed our stay.
The room was nice and large. Very comfortable for our family of 4. Breakfast was pretty good and our girls enjoyed making waffles each day. Best of all, the hotel was close to the attractions we wanted to see - the NM Museum of Natural History and Old Town Albuquerque. (Also close to ABQ Bio Park.)
I loved the breakfast and the staff was on top of everything if we needed anything. I liked that the hotel didn’t have homeless people hanging out around the hotel like the other hotels do. We loved our stay. We come to Albuquerque to visit family and will stay at the Hampton again.
The motel is completely remodeled but left some of the old Route 66 vibe. The location is fantastic (close to the Old town) and the rooms are spotless. We also loved the dining in the plaza area near the hotel - great place for a drink and some food before exploring.
Location of hotel was great! View from hotel was exceptional, had a view of Uptown area. Very close proximity to stores, mall, restaurants etc. Will definitely book at this hotel again and will recommend to friends and family.
The room was nicely decorated and the motel was only a short walk from the old town where you can find many restaurants and cafes. I would stay here again but in a different room.
This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at my entire life it was cockroaches no hot water and the staff was very hateful. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody.
