Property was under construction and made the stay rather uncomfortable. First floor flooring had been ripped up and room had a very unpleasant odor. Had I known property was under construction, I would not have booked here.

This home is quite lovely with absolutely stunning views! I greatly appreciated the thought and effort made to provide such a stress-free stay. The area is breathtaking and we left with so many beautiful pictures, memories, and even a few rubies from the local mines. I definitely recommend this cabin!
Franklin is a quiet little town. It is a great little town to stop over and visit on your way to Cherokee or Gatlinburg. We were only there for one night, but plan to come back at another time. It seems to be a quiet little town. I look forward to exploring more of the town on my next visit to the manor!

The town was full of character.
The town was full of character. The shops, the restaurants, the waterfalls, even the winding roads, were a joy to discover. What a hidden gem! I did not have time to enjoy all the waterfalls or hiking trails, or even the river sports, and I just missed the changing of the season. I would love to return once the leaves are turned, since the landscape is so beautiful.

I love the mountains and Franklin “is the mountains” of western North Carolina. Franklin is a small town, maybe not geared for the young people looking for lots of things to do but for folks looking to slow down a little it’s great. There’s great local shops and restaurants, sometimes you have to work a little to find them. Calasaja River Gorge is an amazing drive up to Highlands where the shopping is also amazing. A beautiful day trip for anyone.

We love Franklin... its a great area for chasing Waterfalls and enjoying Nature. Personally, we like to hike and explore the area in our Jeep, but some of our friends like to shop in Highlands or Gamble in Cherokee so Franklin is just a Great centerpoint for us to meet up .
The area has some Cute boutiques and Antiques shops, if that's your thing...But there are several Ingles and a Burkes Outlet for items you might realize you forgot for your trip
Every local restaurant we have tried has been Great...
We seem to eat at El Charro more than others because they are open late and the atmosphere and food are Good.
Our biggest complaint of that area, or anywhere in a 50 mile range, is finding a Restaurant open after dark. Can't blame it on Covid or time of year, its always like this.
The hotel appeared new and is very clean. We had a fast, friendly and easy check in. Our room was outfitted with everything we could want, a comfy bed, mini ‘fridge, microwave, writing desk, television and Neutrogena bath amenities. Our room was quiet and the temperature easily controlled.
Breakfast was from 6-10 am and contained many choices including healthy and otherwise.
I would return without a doubt when in Franklin NC.
I loved the location and the view! It was so incredibly serene. The kitchen was stocked with pots and pans, basic spices. It was well laid out. The owners were incredibly easy to interact with. It was far enough away from town to have an amazing view of the stars but close enough to easily get to the different mines, grocery store, and the downtown area of Franklin.
I'm planning on making this a yearly trip!
Motel is older but has a great location being in downtown Franklin. It didn't serve coffee or breakfast but there was a nice restaurant about 1/2 block away that is open early. There is also a bakery almost next door. My room was at the back end of the motel and it was very quiet which was nice. A lot of hikers stay at this hotel so you will see people but few cars. The hotel room was very clean.
The home was located in a beautiful rural area but yet close to town. Great bedroom and bathroom layout for 2 couples that allowed privacy. Beds were comfortable and linens were soft. Kitchen was well equipped. The basement rec room was awesome with a high quality pool table and sectional sofa to relax on. Outside the home had a large deck that overlooks the trees.
No breakfast but that was not the problem. The web site stated the property was a 3 star but was at best was a 1 1/2. The only reason we stayed was we were tired and Franklin didn’t offer much in the way of accommodations. The manager was, however, a nice guy and was really trying to improve the facility.
This is such a cute, well kept hotel. The office staff was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed sitting by the fire pit in the evening and visiting with other guest. Great location for us. We were getting on the Blue Ridge parkway the next day. We will definitely stay there on our next trip to NC.
Loved the privacy and setting, very restful and good location with easy access to where we wanted to go. Love coming to Franklin and this cottage was perfect. Really liked the gift basket, fruit and breakfast box.
Stay was amazing. Very quiet and private little hotel which i appreciate because we like our privacy, the only downfall was both mornings we were woken up by maintenance lady which is very annoying while sleeping
Very friendly staff, very clean and comfortable and perfectly quiet for a good nights sleep. Will certainly choose them over one of the big chain hotel/motels if in that area in the future. A++
This is a better breakfast than most hotels in this price range offer, a definite reason to book here again. Location was central to the activities and a great jumping off point each morning.
This cabin was cozy , well furnished and it was relaxing to be in the wooded area. The fire pit was an added bonus and added to the experience. At dusk we spotted a herd of deer in the area.
Everything was great including the location. The staff was outstanding and I will use in the future. If you are visiting Franklin you should stay at this motel.
The Carolina Motel provides reasonably priced, comfortable and clean accomodations in a relaxing atmosphere. A short drive to downtown and to restaurants.
