We were only there to drop off my husband (Michael)for work, but the town is pleasant and everyone we encountered were nice and helpful with anything we needed. There are plenty of food options for dining and take out. We did not shop, but did notice plenty of options for that as well.

Sites: The Green County Museum is great.
Sites: The Green County Museum is great. It may be small but the tour is very informative. Also, Crowly's Ridge State Park is near as well as Reynolds lake.
Food: The Iron Horse BBQ and steakhouse is the best place to eat.
People: No such thing as a stranger!
Shopping: Lots of Thrift stores and antiques in the area.
Traffic is relatively easy and easy to get around.
LEO does their jobs and always have a smile.

Went there for a rabbit show that moved to this town for a better facility. It was a good improvement and will likely continue to be held in this town. Didn't have time to enjoy the general area but lots of good food in the area and nearby shopping.

Only had a short stay.
Only had a short stay. However, we had a wonderful meal at the Avocado Grill and the setting was great. Then we stopped at the Brick Oven and had a great casual pizza, calzone lunch. Really great eating places for such a small town.

A unique small town with great accommodations, We went to spend time with our son and daughter-in-law and meet our grandchildren and great-grandchildren. I had given him up for adoption in 1958 when was 16, It was just what you did in that time period. We found each other and his father and I are finally together after 57 years. I am 77, the husband is 80 our son turned 60 last September. We sent him and his wife a round trip train trip to see us in December, but we needed to go meet our 2 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. I never gave up hope to finally reconnect with my son and his Dad finally found out we had a son together. DNA on Ancestry was positive for all of us.
Everything was great except the breakfast. There was peppers and onions in the eggs and the hash browns.( Some people don't like peppers and onions.) Also the parking lot was covered in ice, very slippery, from the winter weather the day before.( Could have had it plowed). It was clean and comfortable. Alison at the front desk when we checked in was super nice and professional. We enjoyed our stay.
Property was convenient to restaurants, shopping and Reynolds Lake Park. It appeared to be recently remodeled, everything worked as expected. They served a good hot breakfast. Staff was exceptionally welcoming. Pet friendly, we were able to bring our small dog.
