The people are friendly and the area beautiful.
The people are friendly and the area beautiful. However, we were a bit disappointed in the lack of things for tourists to do. We wound up driving to other counties to find things to keep our time occupied. We loved the cheese factory in Ashe county and went off the mountain to a flea market. We just wish there had been more to do in Wilkes. We had a tourist guide but still couldn't find much to do. Our favorite part of our stay was going to Cagney's. We went there twice. Good food and prices. Great service.

Wilkesboro is a hidden gem in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. I enjoyed and was impressed by the visitor's center at the rest stop on highway 421 just a few miles before you get to Wilkesboro.
We traveled for our friends wedding. Needed a hotel for 1 night. The location of this hotel is perfect. Several restaurants & shopping stores nearby. This is one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. It is pet friendly, but has a $25 pet fee per pet per night. The maids were friendly. Plenty of space in the rooms.
the breakfast was amazing. the staff was super friendly and very helpful. the pool was closed but the hotel accomadated the guest at the YMCA (very nice). The YMCA was a 3 minute drive from the hotel (there pool was amazing). the hotel's pool was nice but the YMCA was better (a win win situation for everyone)
The workers were amazing. One interesting thing though, between the hotel and the speedway gas station it looked like there was a homeless person who had set up a tent and was running a generator. That's not the hotel's fault, but it didn't make me a little nervous having my daughter with me.
This place was great! The facilities were very clean. The staff was friendly and very attentive. The room was wonderful. The breakfast was one of, if not the best we’ve had, in any of the hotels that we’ve stayed in. We definitely recommend this facility for your next stay.
Don't plan on a "breakfast" here. They are currently limited to bagels, pre-packaged muffins, and beverages. The staff was friendly and the hotel pleasantly clean and comfortable. It was recently jutted and completely remodeled and they did a fairly good job in the rooms.
Zack was amazing, when we checked out he helped us get our points on thru Wyndham where everyone else told me that this hotel didn't honor the Wyndham point system
The only downfall is they didn’t have a big breakfast selection, however it was extremely clean and a very nice hotel and the name brand soap amenities was nice.
