Overall the stay was great except my boyfriend accidentally hit his vape a Cpl times which set the fire alarm off which in turn they wanted to charge me $400. They have no no vaping signs anywhere on the premises. No smoking signs of course but they should also have no vaping in order to be able to fine me plus not give my deposit bk bc nothing was damaged. And we were compliant. The staff was very rude and made us feel like we had kicked a puppy. Not cool.

The cleaning manager went above and beyond her duty.for my wife. There were things that me wife needed that she didn't bring and just so happen the cleaning manager had the item in her personal truck and they were new. She bought them. She gave those items to my wife without hesitation. She was awesome.

Good restaurants close to nearby waterfalls. Do not think the area warrants higher prices on hotels n the taxes for rooms are way too much 3 plus different taxes . It would be justified if it was in a premier location Vegas Paris ect

Room was FILTHY. Floors were filthy.
Room was FILTHY. Floors were filthy. Everything was filthy and OLD.
Found MANY bugs in room. Found one in my BED!!!!. I immediately went out to my CAR TO SLEEP. Cleaner in my car than my room. Called manager about issues (such as the BROWN towels). They were a dingy white before I used them to wipe up water on filthy bathroom floor from commode overflowing (NO reason for commode to over flow as nothing in toilet but pee). He then said "I (I'm) not giving you(r) money back". He was as disgusting as room was. I will never stay there again and WILL NOT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE. It needs to be inspected by Health Department and "manager" needs to be fired. This was by far the worst motel I have ever stayed at. Girl at front desk when I checked was very pleasant but that is the only thing the motel had to offer.

The staff when we checked in were very nice but we had some issues with the room. The toilet leaked everywhere and the shower parts were rusty. We had ants in the bed and all over the room. We did let the front desk know and all the could say was the weather is what caused the ants and they said they will try to look at the toilet. Nothing was done while we were staying there though.

Cookeville has a lot of shops and places to dine, all of various tastes and budgets. It is blessed by many views of the beautiful countryside which surrounds it. There is a lot of traffic but that signifies a good local economy. Being in Tennessee there are a lot of outdoor activities, I confess I did not know them as I was in town specifically for a wedding.
There are a lot of hotels conveniently located near the highway for easy access to and from all points around. I'm sure if you look to the nearby State Parks and do research on the city's website you'll find a lot to do and the cost verses more well-known Tennessee cities is a lot less... "Y'all".

Burgess Falls State Park has an excellent trail beside several waterfalls. I was glad I had my walking stick as ground is a bit uneven and there are several steps to climb and descend, Good wooden rail helps.

Over all the hotel was nice with the exception of your day time manager.she stole from me and called the police on me in order to cover up what she did...i don't know if she has something personal against me.which i don't know how as i am not from here.but she treated me in a racist manner and truly embarrassed me...i so have a police report pending concerning this incident as she lied to me as well as the police.ans she tarnished my reputation.
This room was practically half the price of many nearby chain hotel rooms, so we were not expecting much. Boy were we wrong! The check-in/check-out processes were a breeze; both owners were friendly and accomodating. We had a king room on an upper floor. The bed was very comfortable and everything clean as a pin.
The hotel provides ice, a vending machine for drinks, and self-serve laundry facilities if you need those. There was coffee available in the lobby at 7 each morning.
Extremely pleased with this stay. Greeted promptly and politely by staff. Room was clean and comfortable. Bed was a notch up for similar hotels in this price range. The little porch with a view was an added plus. The hotel is old with a lot of history but the rooms were updated. The hotel was convenient to the interstate but set far enough back that noise was not a factor. There is a mexican restaurant within walking distance that made for a nice evening after a long drive .
The place exceeded our expectations. The hosts thought of everything that we could possibly need. It was like staying at a friend's house. The location was perfect because we needed to meet friends in Smithville and Cookeville. We even enjoyed an afternoon at the swimming hole. The place was perfect for our dogs, and the hosts provided wonderful amenities just for them. We will definitely keep this place in mind for our next trip to this area.
This is an older hotel but is clean and comfortable. We were in a King Suite , which was separate from the bedroom area. We really like that. Lots of restaurants in the area. We asked the desk staff, who was very nice, for recommendations for dinner that were not a chain. She directed us to a place downtown. It was very good. Breakfast was continental.
my stay at legacy has been the most relaxing stay I have had for years .
the room I stayed was spacious warm and comfortable.
clean towels everyday.
if your out and about, traveling and drive through Cookeville and what to stay a few days.
it will be well worth your money to stay over at the Legacy
The rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet. We had asked for our rooms to be close together and we actually able to get adjoining rooms. This hotel was mostly full on an ordinary weekend. A nice breakfast was available each morning. We would stay there again.
The room was super clean and the big, flatscreen tv was great! Beds were comfortable and clean. My husband and I like it extremely dark when we sleep, and the double shades on the window blocked out light better than any hotel we have ever stayed in!
Hotel was very close to restaurants and main roads. Surprisingly quiet. I stayed in a pet friendly room on the ground floor and it was very nice. Clean and spacious. Staff were very polite and helpful.
The staff were very friendly and responsive. The hotel was very clean and the room was, also. The breakfast had some unusual choices that I appreciated, like the cinnamon buns and the hot oatmeal.
I’m very cautious and where I stay too many hotels that I’ve been into always had bedbugs so I feel this is the most important thing in my stay over on any hotel.
This is the nicest hotel in cookeville area. I showed up a couple hours early and the lady at the desk checked us into a room so my kids could go swimming.
