Elkin was a quiet, relaxing town. Though we came because of proximity to Stone Mountain State Park, we also discovered the town is developing a top-flight greenway trail. Pin code didn't work, and after 15 hours of driving, we were stranded with all hotels around booked. I called multiple times while not being able to get in. It's now the next day, and still no response, yet they still took another $300 deposit for a room we couldn't even use, plus the $200.
