Good location to visit Valley of Fire State Park.
Good location to visit Valley of Fire State Park. There is also a great supermarket, a (Mexican) restaurant, McDonald's (if you eat this kind of "food"), two hardware stores, and gas station.

Moapa Valley is beautiful.
Moapa Valley is beautiful. The town of Moapa is lacking in restaurants, which we found unusual for the location that's an entrance to the Valley of Fire State Park.
The Museum for the Lost City was amazing. They have many beautiful artifacts, and the persons there have extensive knowledge, and are very friendly and helpful.
We enjoyed our visit, but based on what is available there to do, We could have shortened our visit by a day.
Check your schedule with what you want to do and see, and most things, including any restaurants except the Mexican restaurant are closed on Monday and Tuesday.
The museum is also closed on Monday and Tuesday...

I was there visiting family.
I was there visiting family. The hotel location was the best for me and my husband. We didn't really go anywhere. We ate at BLP's and the food was really good. We traveled to Mesquite and had dinner at Katherine's. Need lots of money to eat there

I stayed twice.
I stayed twice. This is close to the Valley of Fire Nevada State Park, which is well worth a visit. There are several local eateries that we thought were good, and there is a Grocery, McDonalds, Ace Hardware etc.

Beautiful area and loved the Valley of Fire State Park.
Beautiful area and loved the Valley of Fire State Park. We carried our own food with us and picnicked at Valley of Fire. This is a very easy area to get around and the drive through the valley to Lake Meade is absolutely amazing!

What I liked the most- The location!
What I liked the most- The location! You are located 10 minutes from the East entrance to the Valley of Fire State Park and another 10 minutes from the Park's Visitor Center. I ate across the street at the Mexican Restaurant called La Fonda, which was open for dinner on a Sunday night! I plan to return for breakfast! Yes, breakfast! The spicy salsa is very spicy, so beware! Great margarita for a very reasonable $8.00! So, I had 2 of them!
What I liked the least? The room coffee- Castle Creek- was awful. Tasteless, even when doubled up. Next, there were too few electric outlets in my room. But my room was located near the parking lot entrance door as I had requested because I have trouble walking, so this convenience easily trumped the dislikes. My room was spacious and housekeeping was great. I walked barefoot on carpeted floors without any telltales on the soles of my feet. There was no desk, but there was a 2 foot square table provided where 2 people could enjoy a meal that they heated up in the room's microwave or kept chilled in the room's refrigerator. I slid the table across the room so I could access the electric outlet in the far corner. There were no electric outlets near either bed, so, if you needed to hook up your CPAP, you had to disconnect the bedside alarm clock. My room had excellent internet. My connection remained steady enough for my needs, which was only to read mail and visit web sites to plan my next days journey into the Mt. Charleston Area. As I have posted previously, the biggest drawback about my room at this motel was the low toilet! I find this to be an all too common inconvenience, wherever I travel. Good luck to you and safe travels. BTW, everybody working at this motel were wearing masks at all times. I felt very COVID protected. Sadly, the COVID thing prevented the motel from using its beautiful dining area for breakfast!
