Beautiful mountain setting. The lodge was expansive and perfect to relax at the end of the day, as well as sociable for breakfast. Our cabin was comfortable and clean.

I loved so many things about our stay. It is was very quiet, which made it relaxing. The bed was very comfortable. I loved the idea of the bed jet and the sleep eye mask. I loved the big screen tvs and the arcade games even though I personally did not play. My husband and our sons enjoyed playing. I thought the gaming chair was comfortable as well as my son that now wants one exactly like it. I liked how that the computer was in a separate room. I love the color of it as well. I loved the can for warming towels. I also think that the way the house is heated/cooled and the humidifier(s) was the greatest idea. We did not have to use the heat or conditioner and the house smelled wonderful as well. I loved the idea of having coffee and tee for us. I also loved the idea of the rice cooker, crock pot and the other items that were available to use should we have decided to use. I loved the porch swing, and the firepit setup. I also loved the idea of the cameras it helped me feel secure. I just wish we had more time to spend so we could enjoy it more. The next place that we stay in will have a lot to live up to. I have no issues giving them 5 stars. I also enjoyed reading the book and loved the idea of replacing something that you use.

Rocky Mount is a small town that has grown through the years but is very close to Ferrum college so excellent location for blue ridge folklife festival- there are nice albeit not numerous choices to dine out and a brewery and winery (we didn’t visit). It’s gorgeous to drive anywhere and there are recreation areas close by for gorgeous hikes and playgrounds too.

It was quiet with plenty of close-by places to eat. The air was clean and refreshing. I love areas where everything is old but restored - that's Rocky Mount. I love the hills of VA and Rocky Mount is right in the middle of it.

Close enough to Martinsville Speedway, but not so close as to be overrun. Beautiful Autumn foliage season. Near some beautiful drives, including Blue Ridge Parkway (though it is partially closed for repairs). Easy/quick shopping and dining very close. Friendly people.

I’ve been here many times before so I pretty much knew what to expect but I think my husband and I have decided not to stay in that area again instead we will go either south towards North Carolina or stay in Roanoke when we visit this area and visit because we have elderly relatives that we come down to see.
