We enjoyed the SEEK Museum, the walking tour of classic old houses, churches and theater. The director of SEEK gave a free tour of the Bibb House as well as the SEEK Community. We learned about Alice Allison Dunnigan who went from Russellville to become the first black and the first woman to be admitted to the Washington D. C. press corps in 1947 or 1948. The display relating to the lynching of four black men in 1908 was a heavy and dark experience, but a healthy look at our history as a country. Our lunch at Ariellas on South Main Street just off the town square was tasty. Our shopping at "Finds On Fifth" was fun. We spent money there. Our visit to the Red River Meeting House north of Adairville was a rewarding history lesson. We did some good shopping and eating at the Mennonite market and deli at Auburn. We are telling our friends and will likely come back.

The best places to eat seem to be on the "other side of town", not close to the Econo Lodge, with the exception of The Colonial Inn - this restaurant was highly recommended, but just wasn't open for dinner, much to our regret. Next time, we will go here for lunch!!! Very nice park, and very beautiful old, quaint homes that we saw on our rides through the neighborhoods.
