Theresa is so welcoming & her house is spotless. As a lover of 100+ year old homes, the top floor is spacious & stayed warm upstairs the whole evening during a cold night. Nice toilet paper noted! Bed was very comfy for us both.

My wife and I were traveling from Dallas to Grand Junction. Trinidad and Amarillo are the half-way points for us on these trips, so instead of driving the extra 4 hours to get to Amarillo, we booked a room at this La Quinta just outside of Trinidad. It was the best decision I have made on a trip! Booking.com made it real easy to choose and I think this review will help you make that good decision too! We were just passing through Trinidad. We lucked out by driving up to this hotel with no reservation. It was a very cozy, exceptionally clean and very stylish for a low price. Trinidad is a great town with much to see and do. It's especially fun for families during the holidays. It's very easy to get around. The Sunset Grill is one of the best places to eat. There are some really fantastic sites around here, with the San Luis Valley just over the mountain... Hwy 12 up through the mountains to Cuchara and La Veta provides an wide range of scenery, rock formations and climbing mountains... little communities interspersed along the route... and out of there further west is the Great Sand Dunes, a spectacular site!!! Great place to take a few days off in, to goof off!!!

It was the stopping place between Gunnison, CO and Pal Duro Canyon. That was this trip. In the past, I have stayed in Trinidad. My only review is enforce the leash law. I was attacked by a pit bull. I have a small dog who was terrified. My friend got really hurt trying to protect us.
