We went for our anniversary, and while it was quiet and peaceful, there was nothing to do this time of year. No romantic restaurants were available. Many restaurants and businesses were closed for the season. However, there were take out/delivery restaurants available. So, we bought a candle from the Family Dollar, ordered Italian (as suggested by the Family Dollar store clerk) , from Cafe Milano, and stayed in. We made it work for us.

The quaint little shops were so nice.

The quaint little shops were so nice. We came here with some friends for the Crab and Cruise at The Crab Place. It was great. The food and the friendliness of the staff was excellent. We are differently returning next year with alot more family and friends. It was our anniversary. We enjoyed it.

Interesting spot on the Chesapeake Bay.

Interesting spot on the Chesapeake Bay. A pleasant village with fishing, crabbing and oystering history. Access to Smith Island, a simultaneously nearby but somewhat isolated locale, with deep roots in the waterman’s way of living. Well worth the visit. Adjacent to Janes Island State Park with excellent kayaking trails and boating opportunities. The campground here also looked very pleasant.

I was in town for one day for our family reunion. I choose your motel because it was close to my relatives and the park where we had our event. Well, I was greeted by cobwebs throughout the room. In order to use the microwave I had to unplug the television, the tub was dirty luckily I travel with my own cleaning supplies. The bathroom light was blown out and several ceiling tiles where missing. The bed was semi comfortable and the refrigerator kept my food cold. Oh and the A/C worked very well.

I spent my summers as a child here as both of my parents are from this town. It is some where you can come and enjoy the serenity, but not some place you would like to live unless you are retired. In my opinion this city is for older people who have lived here most of their lives, and tourists.

It was peaceful beautiful and relaxing.everything was pretty much in walking distance with plenty of Great eating spots. The restaurants roadside fish frys and bbq's alone would bring me back. The crab place crab cruise is an event worth inquiring about. With that said theres nothing to do after about 5 pm and nowhere near to go! Side note they might have the worst McDonald's in America.
