Location. Convenient to Rappahannock Wildfowl Carving Festival in White Stone, several locally-owned restaurants and antique shops. Superb multi-course breakfasts with tasty quiche, crepes, frittata, hand made scones, French beignets and fruit creations. Welcoming hosts. Inviting, comfortable rooms and beds. Lovely decor and antique! vintage furnishings. Quiet. Homemade cookies in vestibule! Talented, convivial hosts.
Heathsville is a town full of wonderful people. I would particularly recommend the Northumberland Historical Society, open Wednesday-Friday. Very knowledgeable members happy to help you with your family searches. Great resources there! The library is also quite nice with a friendly staff.
