We were just driving through from Virginia to St Louis so...
We were just driving through from Virginia to St Louis so only stayed one night each way. Both the hotel and the restaurant were close to the interstate so we didn't see my h of Morehead. The restaurant Cattleman's Roadhouse was EXCELLENT. A wonderful salad bar and the best steak I've ever had. Check-in was quick and easy. I was grateful they were able to provide me with an item I forgot to pack. The room was basic and can use a facelift the shower had no water pressure which made getting shampoo and conditioner out of my hair difficult. The bed was comfy though! Don't advertise that breakfast is included when it's only 1 or 2 items and no place to sit. No dining area open. Adjust your advertising to fit the covid as to what is available and what isn't. Don't wait till someone checks in to find out. The desk attendants were rude, especially when my husband questioned a about breakfast

Morehead has a college vibe, yet the charm of a small town...
Morehead has a college vibe, yet the charm of a small town atmosphere. There is hiking, biking, kayaking, boating, swimming, camping etc., all the fun of outdoors entertainment. Not to mention the great places to shop, and awesome places to dine at. Folks are friendly. This place I have high on my list to visit several times a year.

I enjoyed that it was close to the Interstate and that a Domino's Pizza was close enough that the delivery person walked to deliver my pizza. I also enjoyed that there was a gas station with a McDonald's attached across the road
