McPherson is a great town.
McPherson is a great town. We ate at Slim Chickens (first time) and the food was excellent. Getting around town was easy. I would avoid staying at the Holiday Manor as they do not have the amenities that they advertise and too expensive for just an overnight stay. However, their staff was great and accommodating.

McPherson is a beautiful town with exactly what everyone could ever need! I went on a run while there and was able to see downtown, the colleges, and the parks. I was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness of the town, and the availability of sidewalks. I live in rural Tennessee and we don't have these luxuries. I liked the town so much that I could see myself living here with my family!

The car show at McPherson college was awesome it was a perfect day for the show the cars , trucks were awesome , the student section was great. The only negative thing I would have to say about the show was the Authentic one of a kind General Lee 1969 Dodge Charger was not admitted to the show because of the Confederate flag on the roof, this is a classic car and the flag has been taken out of context and turned into an object of hate and racism, it is neither, this is a part of history and it is sad that the car would not be admitted because of a flag painting on the roof. This car has been in this show before with no problems also the owner of this car is a very gracious donor to the A.R program so why did the president of the college turn them away?

There were some things that we wish we had more time to check out. Down town is very old and historic plus the 2 college campuses would be interesting to check out. There are a lot of places to get a meal, everything from a burger to a fancy meal. Really easy access to anything in town, just use some map program and you can find any place.
The hotel is reinventing itself (a remodel).
The location is excellent and the staff is excellent. But I don't want you to think it's an reasonable clone of the nearby name brand hotels.
My room was clean and bed very comfortable.
Stairway carpets are frayed.
The working ice machine is in another building. Pool looked nice. And a nice area for my dog to wander.
Breakfast is basic continental.
So just wanted you to expect
good imperfection.
This is a great hotel for the mid level market. It appears to be relatively new, everything is very clean, functional. The suites do not have any divididers between the beds, or between the bed and sofa sleeper, and since I was staying with my sister, I asked for an additional room, rather that sharing, and the desk attendant worked out a great deal for the second room, I was very satisfied with my stay,
Check in was fast and friendly. Complimentary bottled water for guests. Room was sparkling clean with no chemical smell. Comfortable beds and pillows, spacious bathroom. UTD decor. Breakfast was delicious and good variety, crispy bacon! Price was considerably less than a hotel near the interstate. I will absolutely book again when traveling this way.
Continental breakfast probably due to pandemic as counter was setup for more items but not currently available. What food that was there was good. Very new hotel at excellent price. Pool & fitness room were open. Large room with very comfortable bed.
It is what we expected the experience to be for the Holiday Inn franchise we are accustom to expect. Our room could have been a little cleaner and the hot tub at the facility did not work. The pool was warmer than the hot tub.
The staff is always friendly and helpful. We love staying here and it's so close to McPherson College. The rooms are so clean as of the rest of the hotel. I would recommend staying here and they pool and hot tub are also nice.
Apartment was large and just like the photos. Location is close to main street. Nice to be able to have family all stay together and not in a hotel. Beds were comfortable and air conditioning units worked very well.
Excellent staff, hotel is conveniently located to restaurants, shopping and access to the Interstate for departure. Keurig located in the room, spoons would be nice to stir the brew. Dual lights in the bathroom.
The breakfast was good, it had a nice variety of items to choose from.
Wise the hotel wasn’t so close to the interstate, didn’t care for the noise from the vehicles on interstate.
Very clean and comfortable hotel. The breakfast was delicious, the gym was adequate, and I forgot my toothpaste but the front desk was quick to provide it. The stay was wonderful.
The room had a sofa and two large screen TVs. The breakfast was very good. Management was very helpful setting up the meeting room. Newest hotel in the city.
