The pillows were old and lumpy, but the bed was comfortable enough.
There was no way we could leave the AC on while we slept because it sounded like a UFO taking off every time it kicked on.
While there was an indoor pool and fitness center on site, the hours it was available made it unusable for us. The fitness center is closed until 8am.
Breakfast was better than nothing. The sausage was good, but there were very few options.6

Nice little town, very historical place.
Nice little town, very historical place. The scene of a Civil War battle during Morgan's Raid. Fairly easy to get around in. Not a lot of choices for restaurants, but the usual fast food places available.

Salem has a nice downtown square, several great antique malls/stores and we love the Dinner Bell! Salem is also close to several other historic towns in the area and it offers a much better choice of hotels to stay in.

This is the county seat of a small rural county in southern Indiana. Not very eclectic but we enjoyed the place (not for everyone). My wife and I enjoyed evenings walking around the town square. Folks in around this rural community were very friendly.
The cleanist motel l have ever stayed in. I have stayed in a lot of hotels at twice the price. Had to go to this small town Salem, Indiana with 2 hotels. I was totally amazed at the cleanliness and management. Both were absolutely awesome 👏
one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The beds were very comfortable. The staff was friendly & very accommodating. The coffee pot and cups was great to have. Even the toiletries were top notch!
