Indianapolis is a rather quiet city.
Indianapolis is a rather quiet city. It doesn't have the hustle and bustle of a New York or Chicago. However they have a cultural area in the city with many attractions for tourists: museums, a zoo, parks, and a lovely canal on which you can rent a paddle boat or travel on a Venice-like gondola. It's a very sports-oriented city with little emphasis on classical art or music, or modern art for that matter. But I was only in Indianapolis for two days, so I may be missing a lot. I'd say it's worth visiting for a few days.

There wasn't one thing about Indianapolis that was good.
There wasn't one thing about Indianapolis that was good. The roads were terrible had to have work done on both of my vehicles because of the roads. The whole place is a ghetto. IU hospital is a mash unit except the nursing staff.

The hotel is centrally located in walking distance to Lucas Oil Stadium (football) and the basketball arena. Also numerous quality restaurants in walking distance. Overnight parking at $45 per night was far too expensive. The view from our windows was of an active homeless encampment with participants. A slight wall would have blocked that view from hotel guests. Hotel personnel and staff were very personable and professional. Free Breakfast was good.

The Palladium was beautiful and we saw a great concert. also we enjoyed the German Christmas festival. We ate at "Bar Louie" and it was very good. All of the traffic circles in Carmel are a little tricky but serve the purpose. Traffic signage and street signs are very easy to see and helpful.

Traffic was busy, but moved along efficiently as streets were well marked. Stadium was awesome,as were the Colts! Lol The view from our window looked out over the river, very scenic, well maintained area. We may have explored the area had it not been raining.
The room felt like home. Temperature control was nice. Large enough and separated living area from bedroom area was homey feeling. Mattress was very very nice but I did miss my own pillow. Walk in shower was lovely and separate sink area allowed one to use while other was in restroom or shower. Mini fridge and microwave helped our stay. Breakfast was full of plenty of delicious options. And the room was clean without any smells like other hotels. I would stay here again and again.
Bev and Dan are amazing people they really made us feel like home. She has an awesome vibe. Cool lady 🙂 she had a baby gate waiting for us, as we asked for one. We were traveling for our son's doctor's appointment at Riley's children's hospital. I'm definitely excited to book again in the summer. The lake is astonishing!!! We will be back for sure! It definitely felt like paradise 😍 if you're looking for a cheap, safe place to stay in the Indianapolis area this is it!
I love the location, just across the Gainbridge fieldhouse, home of the Pacers. Also, the hotel is conveniently located in downtown area, walking distance to many restaurants and monument circle, and the Circle City mall is just next block where there is a skywalk to the convention center. The hotel room is big, it has kitchen and appliances needed for your stay. Breakfast is good, but it's the same for all the 6days I stayed in Hyatt house.
I've stayed here several times and I must say.... it's the best hotel on indys west side (if you're looking for cheap) the staff is super friendly and have worked with me before when I was a few dollars short! Rooms are remodeled and the housekeepers do a very good job. Only downfall if I had to pick would be the location. Yes you're within walking distance to gas stations, pharmacies and food but the area itself isn't the best
Breakfast was excellent. Plenty of choices, clean, plenty of seating, family friendly. The evening dinner snack buffet with included drinks for adults was a nice surprise. After a long day of driving, and showing up with grouchy kids and tired grandparents, the swimming pool, complimentary snacks and drinks helped us relax into a fabulous Indianapolis trip.
I have 2weeks calling noboby answer my phone Hes never refund my deposit in my bank account this is still he send someone see the room he said everything ok he said hes gonna refunds the money in my bank account i never see it
I ll never take this royal hôtel anymore.the days i come back to Indianapolis you guys ll pay me.this is not normal.
Absolutely beautiful hotel with comfortable clean rooms. Breakfast was adequate though not much of varieties were there. Front desk was very friendly and helpful. A Mexican restaurant on the yard is a good add. Free shuttle to the airport was a big relief.
Liked being here and shall come again.
Great location. Downtown and within distance to so much, including 4 blocks from Lucas Oil Stadium. Super great rooms! Love the size. The bed was SO comfy. Nice view of the city as well. Very nice staff. Love the art work all over the hotel, even in the parking garage.
Nice Clean hotel, Right behind the JW Marriot, 12 minute walk to downtown. beds comfortable, bathroom clean. Nice fast ice machine to fill your cooler on floor 5. All staff was very accommodating, even making my kids complimentary hot chocolate after hours!!
Staff are absolutely amazing. Especially Todd at the front desk. Give that man a raise! He was wonderful and ensured our stay was perfect.
I love the hotel itself and the size of the rooms.
Excellent! Will stay again if I'm back in Indianapolis.
I was attending a three-day event at Lucas Oil Stadium and the hotel was very close. Despite the closure of I-70 through Indianapolis the route was a breeze to get there. This is the only positive thing about this hotel.
Excellent breakfasts. Great location for downtown events. Hosts are outstanding and think of every detail for the guests. Rooms are comfortable and well equipped. In a historic and safe neighborhood in Indianapolis.
Really friendly staff, shuttle from and to airport is really helpful. The hotel is just like on the pictures, the pool is a great addition, it's a nice place to relax a bit after or before your flight.
Pretty good hotel for the price. Big room, comfortable bed, pretty silent area. Nice and helpful staff. The hotel is currently being modernized so it should be even better.
The staff were kind, friendly and professional. The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The close proximity to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is fantastic.
