I grew up in Danville and now as was then the political machine running the town does everything in their power to run businesses out of town, keep new businesses from moving in and make sure the infrastructure of the town is poorly maintained and on the verge of total collapse. I believe what is there now vs. What was there in 1960 has degraded so much that by 2075 the town will have a population of less rhN 10,000 with virtually no businesses left.

We enjoyed the restaurant and parking lot.
We enjoyed the restaurant and parking lot. What pissed me off was the room was so cold. It took over 4 hours to warm the room, to taking our coats off. And, we reserved a king size smoking room. When we got there, all they had was a 2 queen smoking room. Very disappointing.

Danville isn't a family town.
Danville isn't a family town. We went to meet up with someone half way from where they live. we haven't seen in a long time. However Exit 220 there's only hotels, the dispensary and a gas station and industrial area. We drove to next couple exits to get some food. Looks like a high crime area. So I wouldn't recommend family vacation.

Danville and the other roads we traveled in the area need some serious repair; however, it is very easy to get around. I am from near Danville so it is always nice to come “home”. The people are very friendly and Royal Donut and Custard Cup are always outstanding. We also ate at the Gilbert Street Cafe and it is a very good homecooking-type of restaurant.
Our reservation via Booking.com was not on their computer but the staff was very helpful and friendly. They arranged for us to have a really nice King suite. Our favorite part was walking out of our room the next morning to the smell of breakfast waiting in the lobby...warm cinnamon rolls, cheese omelets, sausage, biscuits, and more. The hotel manager was on duty when we checked out, he was also very friendly. This was our second time staying there. When we find ourselves in Danville, this will be our "go to". We highly recommend.
Very cozy hotel. Nice rooms. Free breakfast which consists of scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, a little pancake machine. Yogurt, juice, English muffins etc. Surprisingly good. Clean room. Great carts to bring in luggage. Some hotels have carts with solid rubber wheels and your luggage wants to fall out every time you hit a bump. These are pneumatic wheels that makes a big difference. Over all great place.
It was a lot better than I was expecting for the location and price. The hotel is clean and well maintained and the breakfast is everything you could want. Oh, and there were plenty of outlets in the room which is really unusual for motels in this price range.
Room size was good. Breakfast was very nice. Folks at the front desk very welcoming. Didn’t use the pool but checked it out. It was a nice size and your eyes didn’t burn from over chlorination like many other hotel pools.
Nothing ! That was the worst stay I ever had since I've been coming to Danville. Worst experience I've ever had with checking in. Just everything was BAD. I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN. No breakfast, No nothing.
The only thing i like was the location of the hotel. other than that the place was dirty the sheet was stained and it just wasnt worth the money honestly.
