I liked being able to adjust the temperature in the room myself, and it was really spacious with a couch, armchairs, and side tables. I didn't really hear much from the other guests accept the occasional outside conversation.

The owner was extremely nice and he gave us an upgrade to a king size bed. Being that we had pets in the car and also that I am handicapped I liked that we could park right in front of the room.

Perfect location. Peggy, the owner, prepared breakfast and hosted us like friends. This place is a gem.

People drinking, smoking, being very loud outside around hotel rooms until early morning hours. Connecting room occupant was one of those people-left tv on all night at very loud volume-forgot to ask for non-connecting room. nightmare on Pennsylvania street.

Clean hotel. Front desk staff friendly.
Clean hotel. Front desk staff friendly. They did not honor our request to have rooms next to each other. They had FOX "News" blasting on the TV during breakfast each morning and were sulky when asked to change it off of news to HGTV (or anything else). When your politics make people feel unwelcome, you might lose customers.

There's not much to do here.
There's not much to do here. We had bad weather and couldn't hike. We went into DuBois (about 20 mins away) to shop at JCPenney and have lunch. The only restaurant near the hotel was a Dutch Pantry, which has decent country-style food at a reasonable price.
The Bee Kind Winery is fantastic, though. If you like sweet wines, definitely stop by. They also had a selection of fancy snack items and treats. We bought some artichoke bruschetta and strawberry salsa that were really delicious.

The property is very old, the building is very long and could be a challenge for older adults, However decently soundproofed for the location..
Jay at the front desk was very pleasant and most helpful. I could not get a handicapped room. which proved difficult to negotiate the bath tub, with no safety bars.
We did not try coffee nor breakfast. Highly recommend a Dutch place breakfast - lunch dinner across the road. Outstanding
The few motels in Clearfield are all under the spaghetti junctions and under the freeway.
Rooms were big & very clean, only issue I had was the beds were super firm .
Had issues sleeping because they were so firm. Would I stay again - heck yeah, I can’t tell you the last time I stayed in a hotel with a great staff & so clean. The folks running the place were very accommodating. They gave me a different room when I expressed how hard my mattress was . Highly recommend
I was only there overnight but the staff was super kind and went the extra mile making sure I felt comfortable as a solo traveller. The hotel is connected to a bar/restaurant. So, there was easy access to food as well as gas and snacks (sheetz).
The hotel was conveniently located with a nice restaurant next door. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable and the ac worked great
The man (owner) at the desk was very friendly
Peggy was an amazing host and our stay was outstanding. Breakfast was fabulous each morning. The property is close to the downtown area of Clearfield with restaurants and shopping.
