I actually visited Fairlawn, not Akron. However I lived in the area for 25 years and I am familiar with it. Swenson’s for Galley Boys, Chipotle for burritos, Acme grocery has a well stocked health food section. There’s something to meet anyone’s tastes.

This motel is nasty and should be closed down!
This motel is nasty and should be closed down! It's filty, there was feces stains on a bedspread and on the bathroom walls. The room was infested with gnats. There are homeless and transient people everywhere, some were stealing donated clothing and items out of nearby collection boxes.

Visited Cuyahoga National Park. Rode the scenic railroad. Visited Brandywine Falls, and saw a concert at Blossom Music Center. Ate at Steak and Shake, Chick fil A, and a really good Greek place called Vasili's Greek Cuisine. Great food there. Very nice trip. Enjoyed our visit.

The only thing that I liked was that the rooms had air conditioning. Everything else was not okay including the disrespectful maintenance people & the older white manager man who kicked me out of a room I paid 2 nights for. Claiming I smoked inside of my room & I caused the fire alarm to go off all the way upstairs. He didn’t want to hear anything I had to say he wanted me to really leave talking about the police & everything were coming for me & my friends when it wasn’t even us who was smoking in the room & or caused the alarm upstairs to go off.

As it is everywhere- the construction was the only thing that hindered a higher rating. The location reminded me of an Atlanta suburb.
We traveled 3 1/2 hours for a show at the Akron Civic Theatre. We highly recommend visiting this venue no matter what show is playing. It is a beautiful theater and nicely maintained.

The Akron.Civic is a beautiful theatre.
The Akron.Civic is a beautiful theatre. I went to a concert there which was my reason for visiting Akron.
Went to Baxter’s for a pre-show dinner. The service was incredibly slow and we waited more than an hour and a half for our food to arrive. One meal was cold when it arrived...
The town is a mess for traffic at the moment as they are completely reconfiguring the main streets all at once.
An ideal place to stay for nearby Akron. Close to Highland Square with local shops, restaurants and bars. Louie has made a great guest house, both homely and with high end tech and personal touches. You can help yourself to a healthy breakfast, grab a few snack bars and drinks for days out. There is information on everything, trails, bikes, music and entertainment. The house is only a few minutes drive from Cuyahoga National Park which runs through a beautiful valley with outdoor activities.
The room was clean and comfortable. Desk attendant brought extra blankets and pillows per our request and was very accommodating. The breakfast cooking staff were exceptional. They checked on the food and hotel guests frequently and the breakfast selection was better than most hotels we have visited. We booked because of a concert nearby and it was a perfect location for us!
We were pleasantly surprised by the size of our rooms and the cleanliness, the staff was very nice and helpful when we had questions, the location is great not far from everywhere we wanted to go in Akron or the surrounding area. We would most definitely choose this hotel again.
The breakfast was very good and the food was fresh. I only wish you had cooked oatmeal, instead of the single serve packets. Overall the hotel was very clean. Loved the complete blackout shade. The hotel was quiet too. Staff were very helpful, courteous and knowledgeable.
The Haffner wasn't on the wall the heater was broken their was public hair in the bathroom tub. Their was pee stains on the sheets. The safe was missing its batteries I didn't even get to use it. The floor was dirty. And the lady that runs the front desk is beyond rude.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and the grounds had plenty of space to walk my dog. The Wednesday reception was also excellent. Would stay here again in the future if I end up back in Akron.
The hotel was very clean, staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel was also quiet and honestly love that bare floors over carpeted. Beds were comfortable. Affordable price for the location and hotel overall.
Hotel looks like it was just bought and is being renovated. Room was nice but everything else was rough. Staff was sleeping on the floor behind the desk when we went to front desk at night.
Hotel is A+++ by all means. But what really makes the place truly exceptional is extremely forthcoming personnel and among them Mrs Danett is really a rare find.
