Huron is a small lakefront town which has a public beach and good family restaurants. It's a 15-minute drive to Cedar Point, the biggest attraction in the area. It's also close to Sandusky which offers shopping and more restaurants. Take a short drive to the east and there is a quaint, New England styled town called Vermilion. Huron is in an excellent location to enjoy the Lake, Nickle Plate has a public beach but charges for parking.

We loved our stay here it was a bit chilly to get to fully enjoy the lake and beach area down front but we were in perfect distance from all the things we wanted to do. We had lunch a little bar down the road just my husband and I, we ordered pizza from huron pizza, but next we would love to go in because the diner was so cute when i went in for carry out. The pizza was delicious and super affordable. We let the kids pick out donuts from the donut shop down the road one morning and went and walked down to the huron light house and our kids loved the seagulls. We were far enough away from cedar point and have passes that one night when the littles fell asleep my oldest son and I snuck away for some quality time to ride rides… and it’s about a 40 minute drive from cleveland zoo which isn’t a big deal to us because that’s how far our local zoo is but cleveland zoo had much more to offer. It was a super affordable trip because of our cedar point passes and zoo membership back home gave us discounted prices at the cleveland zoo. There’s a lot of fishing to be done around this area too and we hope to do some when we come back during warmer months. We took our son to his first cabellas coming home from the zoo. I can’t forget to add that there’s starbucks. My husband and I always look for one when we travel because we collect the state mugs. ❤️

Pet friendly, but they don't clean well enough so definitely has dog stink. The bathroom was unclean. Had mold growing in the base boards. Pubic hairs stuck to tub walls. The beds were hard, and lumpy. The side doors don't work to come in the pad was broken.

We love the area, especially as it’s so close to really great restaurants (like The Huron Pizza House and Berardi’s) and fun activities (Ghostly Manor Thrill Center, BAM, Cinemark, and Kelleys Island). We were there three days and it wasn’t nearly long enough!

Huron is a cute little town on the water.
Huron is a cute little town on the water. It was so cold when we were there so didn't get to spend much time out of our car. We were there for an audition at Cedar Point, so I am hoping we get to return and experience it more. The pier near our hotel was really neat but we weren't able to really get out and walk it because it was blisteringly cold. I did have some trouble while driving downtown. There was a really confusing intersection near a gas station and I almost got into an accident. I guess we didn't do much IN Huron. Sandusky is really close and while we were there we tried to have breakfast at Berardi's, but it was over at 11am. We were a little disappointed because they say it's the best breakfast in Huron, but we'll be back to try again. We also had pizza in Sandusky at Chet & Matts. It was delicious. The pizza, the pasta my son had wasn't all that good. There was a lot of shopping in the area and as we love thrifting, we ended up in a charming gentleman's shop called Something Good & Beyond. The owner is a hard working dude that loves his treasures. This will be a stop anytime we are in the area for sure.

Nice town, on the south shore of Lake Erie where the Huron River flows into the lake. Free boat ramp, so the river is busy, especially when the best fishing seasons arrive with Perch and Walleye.
Comfort Inn is on the river, with a deck riverside, a bar and restaurant next door. Delightful spot, just a short walk to the city beach, a park with children's equipment, a pier for fishing (and walking), and a nice view of the lighthouse. Libations are available.
We love the location that's on the river edge. It's why we chose to stay there. It's a basic hotel, with basic room and breakfast. Clean, comfortable, warm - good value for money. We loved the (cold) walks around the hotel at night and early morning. Beautiful location. We couldn't stop taking photos. There was a big parking space in front that was really convenient.
Location and proximity to the marina where we attended a weekend event- as well as the river, restaurants, and water. Easy drive to stores and to Sandusky. Balcony overlooking marina. Nicely decorated. Loved the rocking chairs on the balcony. Served purpose as a place to stay when weather didn't allow for us to bring our boat to the area.
Very nice motel in Huron, right on the bank of the Erie Lake. Peaceful and quiet. Would love to go back there. The room was nice and Well equipped. There is a gym and swimming pool inside. There are a few food options near by and a great liquor shop within a 10 min walk :) a lighthouse not far. Breakfast was OK too
Staff was welcoming & pleasant .
Amneties were exceptional, more than a 5 star hotel, Microwave, Safe deposit, refrigerator, tea/ coffee maker .
In fact tea/coffee station was in lobby 24/7.
The areas around was soooo cool , riverside walk . Restaurants at few steps . Good value for money .
Terrible experience. took four back and forth before being able to make the key work to open the hotel door. the hotel was extremely dirty, noisy , phone was not even connected like a toy phone.
The noisiest AC ever seen
no way
Good location by the river though you needed to have a room on the right side of the hotel. The sink plug was stuck when I tried to use it and reception were very responsive and gave us an upgraded room. Parking is very easy.
The location is great! Very close to cedar point. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean. Pool was also very clean. Had a great stay n we will stay again on future family trips to Cedar Point.
Stayed for 3 nights. Was clean, decent hotel for the money. Very close to cedar point, about 15-20 minutes. Has a few fast food places, a gas station and a dollar general nearby. I would stay again.
The location is on the mouth of the Huron River and you can pay a higher price to get a room overlooking it. Great for birders. No traffic noise, only a few trains an hour 1/4 mile away.
I love how cozy it is (it is literally a tiny house), and how close it is to Sandusky. We have gone every year for the past three years, and always make a point to stay there.
The location and view is superb. It’s by the lake and beside an al fresco restaurant. The breakfast was good. My kids enjoyed the pool area and outdoor activities.
