Scarborough Beach Motel, hotel in Narragansett

We booked a very last-minute short stay, arriving after dark on a rainy March night. So though we booked a full ocean view room, I can't say we got to enjoy the view that night! However, we did discover the next morning that we had a lovely view of the ocean right from the window of our room. Greatly appreciated the good-sized fridge and microwave as well as the small dining table and chairs in the room as we'd brought food from home to heat for our dinner, The bed was comfy and, though small, the bathroom had everything we needed for an overnight stay for two. Decent water pressure in the shower, something I appreciate! Price was reasonable relatively speaking as compared to what ocean view hotel rooms go for these days. It was quiet and we had a pleasant stay. Though not my first choice for hotels I've stayed at on that strip of Narragansett opposite the ocean, I would go back again if the pricing was right! Shared some photos with apologies I didn't think to snap the ones of the room until our way out, so pardon the towels and messy blanket, etc! ;)

The Inn/Winery was just beautiful. The whole atmosphere from the Inn itself, our room to the Spa and Yoga room and gym room all serene and welcoming. It was so peaceful. The grounds are so pretty with the young vineyards part of the front and back yards. The room was very clean, pretty and comfortable. Complimentary glass of wine each day very nice. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The breakfast was nice. Continental style, fresh delicious pastries, muffins, chef made blueberry french toast casserole, bagels and cream cheese. Fresh juices regular coffee and teas and decaf upon request. Beautiful different seating rooms to pick and enjoy while eating or drinking you wine.

Castle Hill Inn, hotel in Narragansett

This waterfront Newport, Rhode Island property features an on-site restaurant and luxury accommodations. Free Wi-Fi access is available.

The breakfast is very good, all you can eat but cook just for you. The portions are generous. The staff are very professional and friendly. The front desk staff and parking attendants are more than helpful and friendly. Our room looks out north toward Newport Bridge. It is beautiful day and night. The view from the outdoor sitting area is just fantastic, especially in the evening when the sun is setting. We are fascinated by the namesake lighthouse. All in all, a fabulous experience.

I thought it was overpriced and not really well kept.

I thought it was overpriced and not really well kept. It said that it had a deck which was not big enough for a chair. It said that it was ocean front , you can see the ocean but you certainly can't sit on the deck and Enjoy it. There is a common deck on the 2nd floor but there was a lot of drinking and smoking. The only plus was that it was close to the beach.I would not go back

Your paying a lot of money for the location and view, bed was to hard , AC did not blow cold enough , breakfast choices were below average , Needs an upgrade badly . But as long as you know , the location and view was awesome ….i would say to pay $150 less would be worth it .

Love going to Narragansett beach. The waves are great. The town gets a little busy on the weekends but the rest of the week is fine when you go out of season. Monahans food is great with a nice ocean view.

Narragansett beach: It cost $10 to park and an additional $...

Narragansett beach: It cost $10 to park and an additional $12.50 per person. Unsure if they have a weekly rate but I found this expensive especially if a family had children. Plus the large paved lots on either side of the pavilion were for residents only. Beach and pavilion were clean and well maintained and food was good for a snack bar. Very difficult to get into anywhere for dinner. Places with reservations booked solid and walk in places often a long wait I.e. an hour or more. Lacking some waterfront venues with music/drinks. Restaurants closed up very early, many by 7:00 or 8:00. Not looking for a nightclub mind you as I am 60ish but some acoustic music while having an after dinner cocktail would have been a big positive. We couldn’t anywhere with this type of entertainment and the clerk at our hotel recommended a place that was closed. George’s of Galilee an oceanfront seafood restaurant does a brisk business and the food was good. If you like craft beer you must make a trip inland to Tilted Barn brewery in Exeter. Awesome beer especially NE IPAs. Found a little gem of on eatery called Celestial Cafe a couple miles down the road, food was excellent.

We come to the Atlantic House twice a year and love it. We got the deluxe ocean view room upstairs. The location is perfect, right across the street from the ocean. The view is beautiful. The room size and the deck was great. The breakfast cubby is nice. Room was very clean . The staff is absolutely wonderful and helpful.. Ivan at the front desk was a new addition from when we stayed last. He is terrific! Everything from confirming check in... the actual check in to checking out ... Very friendly and helpful. Thanx Everyone!

FOR THE PRICE, it was great, but you get what you pay for, AND I WAS GOOD WITH IT. If you are looking for a $350-$550/night hotel, then go pay for it and you will probably get it. The location was great! That being said, they should do a better job with the exterior paint job and maintenance. You will have to be willing to over look things. We loved the location and the discounted price we paid, so it worked for us. Again, this place needs a face-lift all around, but I didn't pay for that, so that's on me.

Very disappointing. There was nobody to make up the bed in the morning. Or give us fresh towels or take the garbage. We had to take our own trash out. We had to go get her own towels, and we had to make our own bed. Very disappointing that there was absolutely no service at all. We read in the description that they’d be at breakfast and all that was a bread box with one bagel left in it. This hotel was very overpriced for what we got

Location - staff was friendly - the hotel room was decorated nicely not to much overboard with patterns like many hotels do. Clean lines and relaxing colors. The hotel is an older hotel so has the faint beach dampness smell that you get when being so close to the shore but very clean. Staff does a great job. I would go back - not over the top fancy but everything you need when you are at the beach.

the bed and linens were comfortable but the configuration was awkward—futon under the tv, no chair. the facility was nice but did not have railings on the steps. AC made a noise and they called someone to fix it but it still made a funny noise. the porch and front area of the hotel was lovely.

The location was unbeatable overlooking the ocean and within easy walking distance of everything in Narragansett - our room had a terrace and a separate sitting room looking at the sea - though the hotel is slightly old fashioned it is clean and comfortable and the staff was very helpful

I think an added bonus to staying at a hotel in Narragansett would be offering a beach pass/ discount Being able to walk is great but paying to walk on the beach is costly especially on a day you may only have a shorter time to be on the beach.
