A rather boring place that is trying to make profit after being so close to the lake.. especially national dunes park. Its a bit of a ride really, but it give both benefits of a small town, nice places to eat, various hotels / motels and prices and the rates have gotten a little higher then they used to be.. i think a bit too high.

The cleaning services need to do a better job.
The cleaning services need to do a better job. The people at the front desk could be at the front desk, no one was there when we got there and we waited to check in. Then the phones didn't work, we didn't get cleaning service while we we were there and we were there for 3 nights. The pool are was nice, the lobby was nice. We also had dead bugs on the floor and in the curtains. Cob webs on the walls and ceilings. Porter did not seem like the best town, Porter Beach was nice but a bit rocky. Lots of fast food restaurants close by.

We had a great time.
We had a great time. We visited a couple of restaurants: Mexico Lindo and Texas Roadhouse. The food and service was excellent at both. We went to the dunes in Beverly Shores and went swimming and sun bathing.

Very nice we hadn’t been to northern Indiana and I was worried about safety with some of the big cities nearby. Porter was perfect to stay in with train access to Chicago we were able to experience a short trip there without fighting traffic. We enjoyed Indiana Dunes and Lake Michigan. Beautiful place
Close to Indiana Dunes National Park. The rooms are slightly bigger than some hotels of this value. After reading the reviews about the breakfast service, my family and I made sure we were down for breakfast at 6:30 am. No crowds. The selections are okay. More than enough food for our group since we were early. On our last full day of stay, one of the guests tried to smoke and ended up triggering the fire alarm system at 5:30 am. Not the hotel staff’s fault, obviously.
This was our first time as a family visiting Indiana Dunes State Park/Lake Michigan. We didn’t want the typical hotel stay & I’m so happy that we chose the Inn. Beautiful location my kids loved the balconies. It had a very welcome home feel to it & the staff was exceptional. We will definitely be visiting again.
If you can get away from the kids you must check out the Speakeasy! Great drinks & entertainment
Great little hotel tucked info the woods in a surprisingly cute town in the middle of an otherwise culturally devoid wasteland. Rooms are spacious, location was quiet and pretty. The rooms in the back of the hotel face a beautiful grove of trees. The Indiana dunes are easily accessible. Pool and steam rooms were nice. The place cost as much as the sh** motel we stayed in in Buffalo the night before.
The hotel is situated very close to Indiana Dunes National Park and is really cute with lots of parking available.
Our room was clean and the bathroom was nice and spacious.
The breakfast room is spectacular and makes you feel at home with good food.
We were very happy here and it was very affordable.
My family and i like the jacuzzi!
But the owner of the hotel keep turning off the jacuzzi and the lights on the pool!!
We have to keep asking to turn the lights on and jacuzzi on
No towels in stock!
Rooms are quite large (we had a king room with balcony) and vaulted ceilings in second floor rooms make them feel even larger. Tucked away in the woods gave the hotel a remote feel as well.
