I especially value the very helpful staff on ALL levels. Not to get too personal, but I had checked in on Saturday the 31st of March, and that night I had happened to wake up in the middle of the night with the stomach virus and needless to say that I had a little accident ( "so embarrassing on my end") I ended up on the toilet for 5 hrs, it was so horrible! Around 7 am I knew that I needed to go to the hospital because it wasn't letting up so I called front desk to have them call me an ambulance and to have housekeeping bring fresh bathroom linen etc. Even though I was embarrassed with the whole thing, the staff never once made ME feel that way. Housekeeping came in just as the ambulance had arrived in my room for me, and when I tell you that this housekeeper was so nice and understanding and told me not to worry about anything that she will get everything all cleaned up for me and disinfected and that her only concern was for me to get better and come back to be comfortable if I were to come back and that meant so much to me that they even cared about my well being even under the circumstances 🙏🏽❤️ When I came back from the hospital my room was fully cleaned and disinfected just like the housekeeper told me it would be! She left me a little card on the TV stand with her name on it hoping for my well being, that was so sweet 😊 then I had the front desk call up to my room also checking on me to see how I was feeling and if I needed anything. I'm telling you that if anyone wants to stay where you're going to not only feel important but you will also be important, then the Fairfield inn and suites in New Bedford, Ma is the hotel to be at 100% I appreciate this hotel making me feel anything less than. I immediately grabbed that card sitting on my stand and went straight to the ATM downstairs in the lobby and I put a nice little tip in it for that housekeeper because she deserved it!

The room and hallways were musty smelling and the the room needs some care and maintenance. Our room security latch was missing and the back door swipe card mechanism was broken, leaving it open to anyone to enter. Due to renovations, breakfast was not being supplied with no gratuity or reduction in price. It was very difficult to find parking due to seasonal outside entertainment.

Highly recommend this Bed & Breakfast for the accommodations including a full breakfast. Lots of attention to details. Lots of history of the Delano house as well as the immediate area. Super comfortable king size bed. Internet worked great. We enjoyed the morning breakfast with guests from many different places across the 5 days we were there: from Belgium one morning, from South Carolina and Maine another morning, then from neighboring New Bedford. Guests choose their breakfast times for a relaxed morning. Paul as the innkeeper was a great source of information and recommendations of places to see and of where to dine; each place was a winner! He also helped with our bags to the car even as we departed at 6:am to drive to the Boston airport. Super Host! Liz as the hostess and cook for the morning breakfast and to help with any housekeeping issues was a delight. She also was a wealth of knowledge on the house and the area. We were warmly welcomed and felt at home the entire time.

I grew up in this town so I'm a bit biased but I love Fairhaven, especially the village where the Seaport is located. The town is rich with history and Fairhaven has everything you could want in a vacation spot. Avoid the crowds and expense of the Cape and Islands and spend your time here instead. It's more economical and more relaxing.

Lovely New England seaside town.
Lovely New England seaside town. We are originally from MA, so we were familiar with the surroundings. Handy to New Bedford and the Cape. Plenty of good restaurants and beaches close by. We had lunch at Fathoms on Pope's Island, not far from our hotel. Fabulous seafood and located right on the waterfront.

We had two perfect days / nights at Delano Homestead Bed and Breakfast. Our hosts Paul and Sharyn fulfilled our every wish. The house and our room were tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We had delicious breakfast and even had very special guests in the garden one morning: turkeys! We would travel to Fairhaven again at any time and can recommend the Delano Homestead Bed and Breakfast! Thank you Sharyn and Paul for this great time with you. See you soon (hopefully)
Delano is in a lovely quiet neighborhood. Full of history and beauty. The accommodations were more than wonderful, and the staff is great! Lizzy made us feel at home and was a terrific cook! She made several suggestions for places to dine, and local places she thought we would enjoy and she was absolutely right!
Loved our cozy room and comfortable bed! Looking forward to visiting again!. 1000 times better than any hotel in the area. ❤️❤️❤️
It was really interesting learning about the Delano connection to Franklin Delano Roosevelt and the historical records and photos were a bonus. Staying in a historic mansion is really special. The room was comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and our new hostess was very helpful. It was not too far from the ferry terminal to Martha's Vineyard by uber.
Walking around the little town of Fairhaven was very memorable.
Super clean, comfy bedding & yummy continental breakast with bacon & eggs if you prefer. Paul is a gracious host providing wonderful hospitality. The home is a beautiful gem. We loved
learning about its history while exploring the New Bedford -Fairhaven area. We found it to be the perfect place to stay to visit the Whaling Museum.
Breakfast was very good. The service people we met were engaging and friendly. The hotel and our room was clean, comfortable and stylish. The bathroom and shower facility were very functional and clean. Really liked the wall mounted bathing soaps etc. We traveled with another couple who were equally impressed as well.
Great value, don’t let the price fool you. I was nervous booking because the price was about 1/2 of what some of the other local hotels were…but it was great. Very clean, comfortable bed, friendly staff. Would stay again. It was close enough to Longplex Sports Center in RI where we spent most of our time.
Nice hotel conveniently located near the highway. The swimmingpool was hard to find, but then very nice and the staff attentive and very friendly. Breakfast was better than expected, even fresh fruit and cereals were available. The buffet was always replenished quickly.
We found this hotel & stayed as a pit stop on our way to our vacation. It’s very clean. Not fancy, but a really decent place to lay your head. We had dinner at the associated restaurant & it made for a lovely time.
