The new staff, the lady at the front desk was very pleasant and ready to help with anything we need. Very accommodating. The room we were in this time had a nice sized bathroom. Very clean. The hotel is only a mile or so from town.

The cottage was lovely inside and out. The grounds are ideal for hikes around the pond, quiet and serene. Nick served up a delicious homemade breakfast each morning served in our own private dining room overlooking the grounds. The bad news was it rained for 3 days. The good news was it rained for 3 days, and it was perfect! Thank you, Nick & Connie!

Woodstock the town charming. This property was not taken care of. This property needs attention. The place has serious condition issues and horrible smell. I am surprised someone hasn't been hurt with all the different floor heights and the darkness inside. If you are going to state there is a 4th bedroom it can't be on the floor. It felt like the place hadn't been cleaned or used in months. All people involved with our stay said no we couldn't stay here for days because it was so off putting and scary inside. I have never taken the time to review anything before. Also they called & said cleaning people had a car accident & couldn't clean but we could totally tell that no one had cleaned from the time before because of all the laundry in the washing machine that smelled so old and inch of dust and coffee cups fused to counters. That first trip up the dark upstairs where bannister comes off the wall. Also shared driveway so close to another house feels like neighbors inside house motel was quieter.

As it was an overnight stopover we did'nt really get to see Woodstock itself but our experience of our stay and seeing the surrounding area was enough to want us to return. We ate at Sweet Evalina's Stand a comfy warm feeling Diner/Bar/Restuarant where my wife enjoyed a meatloaf meal which she would have been proud to have cooked herself. This was real homestyle fayre which love.
