You can check that out on Google maps, I, personally upload some pictures from the town and many other places around. It is not the classic place for vacations. However, many activities are found during the year. Nice place to be. Lots of hiking spots and outdoor activities. The Restaurant in the Annex to Paddle Wheel, is big enough to have a ballroom dance. Good cooking. (Also reviewed in Goggle maps). One thing is very noticeable: no supercenters or any other common convenience stores in Oregon. So, you will end up going to Rockford. If you are comfortable with few stuff you can get at small stores there. Well, you'll be okay.

We loved the room and we didn't like that the internet didn't work right, we had to throw away our own garbage, and no boats tours on weekdays or workout room, but other than that the room was awesome and the staff.

Oregon is ideally situated for visits to Lowden SP, Castle Rock SP, White Pined SP, and John Deere Museum in Grand Detour. Oregon is a nice, clean place with several good restaurants including the Blackhawk Steak Pit which reminds me of a cozy supper club. Several stores have closed recently, which is disappointing, but with Dixon 15 miles away options exist there. You'll enjoy your visit.

White Pines State park was great, loved it, had lunch there it was really great. Went to town and thru the antique mall. Bought several items there. We ate dinner at two different restaurants which were The Blackhawk Steak Pit and Maxson's Riverside Rest. The both had excellent food. Lots to do, but not enough time to spend there, we will have to return another time. Over all loved it there.

We were right on the Rock river which is so beautiful!

We were right on the Rock river which is so beautiful! The hotel was a little bit out of town but an easy trip by car into it. Oregon is a small but cozy town, not much to do but really quaint and cozy atmosphere.

Oregon has some nice shops and good restaurants.

Oregon has some nice shops and good restaurants. We're partial to Maxson's on 2 going north because of the history, and the food is delicious. The Sunrise and Bela's downtown are good for breakfast or lunch. The Conover building on the river has fun little antique shops. There is also an awesome antique store just out of town on highway 64 called Just Antiques. We love watching the river from the little park on the opposite side across the river near the dam. Louden State Park has trails to walk. Our only disappointment was that Blackhawk statue (a childhood favorite) is still covered with a shroud.
