some parts of the city or town are very run down and store fronts
closed - the area we stayed had construction going on and
the newer part of town was clean and busy with business. there we a lot more hotels coffee shops and business out by the interstate. the harbor in the summer I'm sure is a big draw to downtown.

Racine is a very nice city with lots of good dining options. Nearby Kenosha also has good options. While we were there for a memorial service for my cousin, if you are interested in Lake Michigan activities, I am sure there are some offerings in Racine. All of the residents of Racine we interacted with were very friendly.

Better to go to local restaurants for breakfast.
Better to go to local restaurants for breakfast. We would have more comments but they weather was terrible. Our main reason to visit Racine was to go to O&H bakery. Awesome awesome bakery and Kringles!!!! The town was very quaint and clean. Again would have ventured out more if not for the weather.

Construction really going on, so was unable to use GPS for getting to events that I needed after the passing of 2 maternal aunts that lived in the Racine area. COVID - 19 left me with the decision to visit Sunset Ridge Cemetery (Kenosha) and Yorkville Cemetery (Yorkville) for goodbyes and leaving remembrances without the crowd schedulded events earlier in April and later in June.

Relatives live here, so I'm biased.
Relatives live here, so I'm biased. Did a summer trip and enjoyed the zoo & lake, both within walking distance. Thanksgiving wa spent with family, but found the city clean & easy to navigate.
Everything was exceptionally clean. The staff always seemed to be cleaning and the rooms and foyer were spotless. Free coffee in the foyer which is always a nice touch. The rooms were a great size, the beds were comfy and everything had a nice new feel about it. The staff were all really lovely and went out of their way to give me directions and suggestions for meals. I feel this is a family run hotel and the effort they made really shows. Totally recommend this hotel.
Entire hotel was very appealing - clean and attractive. The room was spacious, with a comfortable bed, excellent water pressure in the shower, and the mini-fridge had a freezer section to keep our ice packs frozen. All the staff was very friendly, free copies of USA Today were available, and the breakfast room was clean and pleasant. Breakfast was good - eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles and the usual assortment of breads and cereal.
We were in town to participate in a craft market at Case High School which was walking distance from the hotel. Also, it's not too far from restaurants, Walmart, etc. Property inside and out were clean. Beds/pillows very comfy. The Staff was pleasant. Traveling sports families were staying here as well and we didn't hear a peep; good walls!
Kristen at the frontdesk was very helpful when I needed recommendations on the restaurants. I was wondered after seeing those bar code scanners. I saw those in many high end hotels but never in comforts before. Those provides every information you needs. Breakfast is the best part! I will be staying here each time I visit the area.
Service Service Service!
amazing staff and cleanliness thru out the property is just so good to see. hot breakfast items are also above and beyond of what you would normally see at any other hotel. decor of the room is on point, perfect lighting, a very large smart TV and comfy bed. Will be back soon.
Breakfast was excellent. A stunning setting overlooking the Marina. Very peaceful and relaxing. A superb restaurant next door to the hotel with excellent food choices, generous portions and very friendly/helpful staff.
Location is very pretty, enjoyed being by the water and beautiful boats, it made our walks around the hotel worth while.
the room was tied up every day for us, without a request ,which was very nice
I have paid double for a room at a different hotel that was smaller, smaller beds, no mini fridge, and no microwave. This was a pleasant surprise and I would stay here again if I was in town.
very clean property, I am a travel nurse at came to town first time. I booked this hotel because had good reviews. My room on second floor very quiet, bed is very comfortable.
