This is a good stop for American history - and maybe native American - Iroquois- Mohawk - history buffs, or for those heading out into the Adirondack park for outdoor adventures. People might want to go to the Auriesville Shrine - or small and more personal, the St. Katherine Tekakwitha Shrine and museum down the road in Fonda, NY, where there are some local artifacts to see, and where you can be directed to the nearby site of a Haudenosaunee village

Too many taxes. Economic blight, No future for their kids.
Too many taxes. Economic blight, No future for their kids. Not enough help with the economy from Albany, Natives I spoke calls their Albany experience unfortunate, They call their governor a criminal, a lawbreaker and a believer of situational ethics. He seems not of any use to the citizens of the state outside of the big cities. What money flows into the treasury ends up in NYC, Buffalo, Greater Albany, They are saddened that their kids have either to be lucky enough to get a government job or leave the area.
The room was small but very functional and tasteful. The blond wood built ins, desk and accents made me think I was in Iceland! There was even a wood case around the air conditioner, which was very useful as a wide shelf for my small luggage. The bed was comfortable. The hotel was quiet. And the staff was friendly and helpful. I was here for 2 days, exploring the area for a genealogy field trip.
We love the location. It's very convenient for us, with a lot of food and stores nearby. We did not partake in breakfast, but the area looked stocked and clean. The shower is hot, with great pressure. The price was decent.
No breakfast only dark orange drink. No staff wore Masks on the premises. It was dusty behind the TV and TV did not work. This super 8 is very BAD than the Super 8 in Amsterdam, NY. Nothing.
Good breakfast options, comfortable beds, for a good and affordable room rate, location was great if your were hanging out in Johnstown (but we weren’t), friendly staff. We will return!!
They allowed us to check in early as we made good time in our travels. Close to restaurants and a Walmart just few miles away for few things we needed to grab. Close to thruway.
The hotel was in a safe area, the room was clean and spacious. It had a microwave oven and a small fridge. Overall this hotel offered great value for money. I recommend it.
