The evening front desk staff member was excellent. He was able to come to our room and get the TV working which was greatly appreciated.
The morning was disappointing. While staff was pleasant, the facility had a landscaping crew blowing in bark entirely too early. That was a big oversight from a customer service point of view.

I personally booked the room through a third party app and once I arrived at the hotel the check-in process went smoothly. My reservation was ready and I was in my room in no time at all. This is a great place to stay because of the privacy and comfort the hotel provides.

We had a nice room , just inside the back (locking)door and a nice little patio , just outside our back door , overlooking the river. Patio had a private table and chairs at our room and several lounge chairs and tables closer to river . If it had not been 104 degrees , during our stay , we would have loved to spend more time out there . Deer wandered all around the area , foraging .

We went to wildlife safari. That was ok.
We went to wildlife safari. That was ok. All of the fast food restaurants had horrible rude employees and people are just not friendly. The only place that was nice was the roller skating rink. I don't recommend visiting there as people are rude.

This town is a dump, homeless everywhere, businesses shuttered, surly shopkeepers, religious zealots and hard right extremist.
The one winery downtown advised us AT THE TASTING ROOM, that they "preferred people who bought bottles of wine". For two of us to taste mediocre wine it cost $30.00, too much to pay for a snooty and rude experience.
I have tasted and bought wine in areas far and above Rosenberg and never been told that the winery only wanted people who would buy a case of wine and not mere tasters.
Avoid Rosenberg unless you have to stop there because you are too tired to go further

Roseburg was an overnight stop for us.
Roseburg was an overnight stop for us. It’s a nice town with a few amenities. The Umpqua River is a beautiful river that meambers through the town and the hotel was very close to the river but no actual access to the river but a nice view from our balcony and even spotted an Eagle a couple times! We ate at Denny’s across the street which is typical Denny’s breakfast fare but their pancakes were very good! If we have need to stop in future travels we would stay at Riverfront Inn again . It was clean, comfortable beds and nice view of the River. For dog lovers there was a dog area .

found a chinese food restaurant - Chi's Garden Restaurant.
found a chinese food restaurant - Chi's Garden Restaurant. They serve large portions and we had to take leftovers back to our room. Breakfast is good too. Won't go hungry before you leave.
If you get a chance, try to go to the wildlife safari in Winston. We wanted to but we were traveling with a dog and you can't drive through with pets. Maybe our next trip we will do that.

The housekeeping staff needs a leader that knows what they're doing. The room next to us was rented out and the window was broken. According to the staff it had been broken for awhile. Spend $20 on each room, paint and caulking would go a long way!
The John Rast house is more than just a bed and breakfast. This beautiful home is a mini museum of its own and it is a place where history and hospitality meet. The owners/hosts Cherri and Mike are super nice and made their guests feel very welcome!
We enjoyed learning from Cherri the history of the John Rast family and the city of Roseburg. If you like history and are traveling on I-95 near Roseburg OR, I highly recommend you to check out the John Rast House.
The staff was very friendly. The hotel was very clean. The breakfast bar was amazing with so many items to choose from. We had a great view of the Umpqua River. The landscaping was beautiful. They have plenty of outdoor seating along with a BBQ, an outdoor jacuzzi and an indoor pool. It had a nice lodge type feeling, just what we needed after not so great hotel experiences.
Room exceed expectations. Property had been totally refurbished. For an old property it was in excellent condition. The property was a great value for a very low price. Did not expect much but was satisfied with the hotel. It is old and not fancy but you get what you pay for!
The hotel was clean and comfortable. Big bathroom, comfortable bed. Nice staff at check-in.
You need a pick what you want for breakfast and you pick up the tray at reception the next morning. Good choices and they even have hot chocolate.
This is the 3 rd Hampton inn I’ve stayed at. Felt very welcomed and safe with Covid protocol. I also liked their rule of non smoking hotel and no pets. Will definitely use Hampton inn as my hotel of choice
plus a Good breakfast
Rooms were very clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is situated off of the interstate enough that road sounds aren't a constant problem. Great place to stay for an affordable night in Roseburg.
The hotel met our needs well. Our room was nice and the location was close to the freeway for easy access. They stored our bikes in a safe storage area. The breakfast was hot and plentiful.
The room was very clean and our bed was very comfortable. The hotel itself is located just off I-5 in Roseburg, OR which made it simple for getting around to various places.
Nice renovated hotel. The staff is great and the food is very tasty! Yea, I forgot to say that every kiddo got a free toy when we went down to eat. We'll be back for sure.
The room was good and parking is exactly at the front. The hotel is in a nice area where there were a lot of stores located. Overall it was a good experience.
