Wells is a great little town. I visited off season, but there were many places still open. Mimi’s Quilt Shop further down Route 1 was awewsome! I had a great dinner at Mike’s Clam Shack and breakfast at the Egg and I. Although there were many antique shops, none seemed open when I was visiting.

We loved our beds. They were so comfortable.
We loved our beds. They were so comfortable. It’s a convenient place to stay because every thing you needed is in the same road. Just up the road from Wells beach , Maine Diner and the Egg and I. I loved that! We were put in a downstairs room and the people upstairs kept walking around and we heard it all night. I would avoid getting a downstairs room. That was the worse. Nubble Lighthouse not far away.

Beautiful area - the beach is gorgeous!
Beautiful area - the beach is gorgeous! Perkins Cove Candies, Congdon'e Donuts and The Bitter End restaurant are 'must visit' stops. The Bitter End's food was unique the spot was fun and festive. Had a spectacular spicy marguerita with their house-made jalapeno tequila. Not a 'touristy' spot either. I might drive the 2.5 hours just to eat there again. lol

Be prepared for the exorbitant meter rates at all the public beaches. Otherwise, good food such as the Maine Diner and nearby attractions such as Lundholm Farm. To avoid the rip off parking, we drove up to Ferry Beach State Park, well worth it.

Wells is not as charming as Ogunquit but hotel was between the two. I would choose to spend time in Ogunquit. Enjoyed going to the playhouse and the marginal path. Parking is a nightmare, however. We parked by catholic church after last mass. Otherwise, not sure where we could have parked. Would like to make it on to the beach for next visit.

Very nice village to get to know southern coastal Maine up to Portland. Fishing trips easy to be booked in small harbor (speak with harbor master, or ask for captain Tom). Easy to eat Fishermen’s Catch pub nearby. Shops nearby and beaches available. Smaller and less touristy than Kennebunk or Portland.
You can visit fair amount of lighthouses within a few minutes driving distance from here.
We had a lovely experience at this bed and breakfast which started with meeting our host Patrick who was very friendly and accomodating. He even made a special breakfast for me. We stayed in the historic Eleanor Roosevelt room. The inn is centrally located between Ogunquit and Wells Maine so we were able to explore both towns. There were even restaurants within walking distance of the Inn. Overall it was a very pleasant experience.
Loved being able to walk out of our room and right onto the beach. Thee beach was big and wide and even though there were a lot of people out you didn’t feel like it was crowed. Plenty of room for everyone. The room was great! Bed was comfortable and the huge tv was a bonus! The hotel was not on a main drag so it was quiet at night. The outdoor pool was very nice as well.
The bed was clean with fresh linens. The location is very good. We know the area very well and this place is close by to the beach and all the restaurants and attractions. I arranged this hotel for two nights for my mother and brother who were visiting my aunt in the area. This was also in the winter time so they weren't there for the typical tourist experience.
Staff were friendly upon our check in and throughout our stay. Our room was clean, comfortable, and cozy. The kitchenette area, dinnerware, and dining area were a bonus. Even though the hotel is right on route 1, it's set back behind a residential home, making for a quiet stay. We would definitely stay again
The owners of this property go above and beyond for their customers. The location of this hotel is great. We had three adults and a two year old staying in one of the double rooms and approved to be a bit too small for us after a day or so. The bathrooms are extremely small as well.
We love this location in Wells Maine - close to everything we look for (.. restaurants, stores - near beach) and short distance from visiting other favorites (ie: the Outlets or Oginquit) as well. The hotel was very comfortable and had everything we needed.
It's very close to the water. The Lobster Pound is just a 2 minute walk away-very convenient. Walking around the area is very pleasant. There are great restaurants nearby, and Wells Beach is near other beach towns that you can get to easily also.
Perfect location to explore Kennebunkport and Wells. The room was beautifully decorated and the bed was really comfortable. Michael and Bill prepared a delicious breakfast for us and gave us great tips for exploring town. We will be back!
The location of Wells was great and in between areas we wanted to visit. We did not use the pool or yard games/picnic tables but nice for those with families as well as the full kitchen. The king bed was good as well as the shower.
Room was clean and comfortable. Hotel receptionist is so kind and genial. He was very helpful to us.
Location of the hotel is right in the middle of Kennebunk and Oganquit which was great for me.
The employees were very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The location was perfect! It was my first time in Wells Maine and this hotel made it worth the trip!
