Westport is a small quiet residential Lake Champlain hamlet on LC's shore in NY. Note however....As of this writing there was no convenience type store in town, nor was there a gas station. The closest gas is at the I 87 exit for Westport. Elizabethtown, a short drive away, has all your other grocery/gas needs.

The location was nicely situated; secluded, peaceful, with a very nice water view. The room was nice, exceptionally clean and cozy and that goes to the bathroom as well... very spacious! The hosts were friendly and accommodating, breakfast was included, peaceful morning to just sit at their mini library and sip that cup of coffee.. Our stay was delightful to say the least, I wish we had more time to stay longer. But this place is highly recommended and approved by my picky 11 year old son, He said it feels like home. Thank you to the staff, beautifully kept gem!

Cute little town that was a good central location to other activities we wanted to do. A little limited in terms of places to eat, but we found some places if you're willing to do a little driving.

We didn't get to see much of the town but I wish we had. Right now it's a mix, for example, there's a great, slightly shabby deli & general store that has Hood chocolate milk but also Paleo salad dressing! I was impressed with the healthy food options that I can't usually find when travelling, like local organic washed salad greens. There are some derelict houses but then also an ice skating park and the town is right on the banks of Lake Champlain so the setting is amazing. The library looked good too with a large lawn/park with trees in front. This was a popular resort town in the 1800's and those traces are being revived now- intriguing!

Best advice: don’t use the GPS to find the house.

Best advice: don’t use the GPS to find the house. Head to ‘Everybody’s Supermarket’ in Westport and locate the house from there using the d fashioned way of looking at house numbers on the street. The owners have registered the house to the wrong GPS address. We wasted an hour trying to find it before we realized what was going on. Don’t expect to see anyone apart from other guests!

Westport is a nice cozy New York town on Lake Champlain. There is a nice deli shop and beautiful historical buildings. The only restaurant in town for dinner was sort of opened. When we arrived the hostess said they were short staff and could not seat us just yet. Then the guy eating at the bar said his chicken nuggets and fries were not good. We left
