This is a nice small town with a harbor, fishing charters, a family restaurant, taverns, in-town and nearby supper clubs, cheese store, bakery, used book store and a grocery store. If you like history, there is a good history museum at the old courthouse and a historical society downtown. There is a lighthouse at the end of a quarter-mile breakwater that makes for a nice walk along the waters of Lake Michigan along with a lakeside park. The southeast end of the Ahnapee Trail is right downtown. I have a lot of family and friends in Kewaunee so I always enjoy my visits.

Kewaunee is a great little town, just south of Door County, and long Lake Michigan. It was a great location to see and spend time on the lake. We were able to take a drive up to the Door County area to see some of the more touristy areas without having to stay there.

Kewaunee is a lovely town to visit for a few hours or a fishing trip. It has some nice views and Historic nautical things to look at, a short walking area, a few beaches, and a few spots for dining. The town is not large, so don’t plan it as your sole destination (unless you charter a fishing boat?).
