The room was big so we didn't feel on top of each other. It was very. Clean and the staff was friendly.

The two bed apartment was very spacious for a family of five. The apartment felt clean and smelled pleasant. We enjoyed having dinner at the dining table and the kitchen is reasonably well equipped. The jacuzzi setup in the bedroom is unique and we really enjoyed it. The rocking lounge chair in the living room is the comfiest chair I’ve ever sat on, made me feel like a baby in a cradle. The patio would have been lovely to have breakfast on and enjoy the fresh air though it was too chilly to do so when we visited. Overall we would highly recommend Acadia Village Inn, it was a great value for the price that we booked and we had a very pleasant stay.

No breakfast office closed most of the time we were there. WFI was not working the whole time that was a bit disappointing . No sink stopper in bathroom sink.

The floorplan of our motel room was ideal with a very long and spacious bathroom separating our room from the neighboring one, making it very quiet and private. There was plenty of counter and floor space with a large TV and very comfortable bed. An added bonus was being able to walk out past our front door parking space to a grass lawn that included a 20x80' fenced in dog park. The motel was an easy five minute drive to Acadia National Park and the bustling town center of Bar Harbor. Driving briefly in the opposite direction yielded some quieter restaurants if you simply wanted to dine and try a delicious lobster roll.

Only complaint I would have is they have a wonderful Contential Breakfast but eggs, etc. were cold. It would be great if they could figure out a way to keep them hot.
Ice maker was leaking and we couldn't get any ice when we needed it to head out in the heat. (92°)

Acadia National Park is a short drive and was amazing, and the drive to the summit of Cadillac Mountain is well worth the $6 reservation fee. However, the loss of my lifetime park pass due to the very strong winds at the summit, ended up costing me a good deal more than the reservation fee.
Wish I had had more time to visit more of Maine, but couldn't do it this trip. Especially would like to visit Mt. Katahdin in the future.

Very outdated and the bed was so uncomfortable.
Very outdated and the bed was so uncomfortable. It was a spring mattress on wood and barely off the ground. This was in a handicap accessible shower room yet you can not get out of the bed which defeats the purpose. Will not stay again. When you first walk in you do not get that it is as outdated as the rooms and pool area are.

I've been coming to this part of Maine for a long time for summer getaways. Ellsworth is a great location to stay in to have close access to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, must-sees for anyone new to visiting the area.

The town is essentially a gateway to Mt. Desert Island, so motels are a lot cheaper than on the Island itself. It's about 15 minutes north of Mt. Desert, with a Walmart nearby, various restaurants, but not a destination itself.

I was at a tai chi training so I didn't get to spend enough time in this charming town. I did eat at the Mex and had a great dinner in their fun establishment. We tried to eat the Irish pub but learned it pays to reserve ahead of time! That place is popular! Loved the Riverside Cafe and the Flexit. There were so many shops that I'd love to have browsed around in. And I didn't even make it to the water. There has to be a next time!
This Ramada was convenient for our touring in Acadia National Park. The room furnishings may be a little dated but the room was cozy with comfortable beds and numerous fluffy pillows. The large breakfast room is exceptional with a lovely outside deck with view of fall foliage. Many breakfast items to choose from including scones. Definitely the best breakfast experience we’ve had during these pandemic times. Front desk staff gave excellent dinner recommendation at a local restaurant. We ate dinner there twice!
Location was great. Short drive to Acadia NP and the Seal Cove Auto Museum. Within walking distance to restaurants, bars and great ice cream! Building was repurposed so was very different with wide hallways and doors. Breakfast was simple but good. Fresh strawberries and coffee cake were delicious. Staff/owner Barb, exceptionally nice and accommodating. I enjoyed hearing about her passion of painting and enjoyed the art all around inside the building. Loved it here snd will go back if ever in Ellsworth again.
Clean place
Plenty of parking
No amenities
Owner doesn’t talk uses a phone translation app
Almost self service hotel
Book online, checkin online, checkout online, there’s nothing in the vicinity of the hotel. Drive to Bar Harbor for entertainment. Not much savings to stay here. Town is depressing. Rather be closer to Acadia and Bar Harbor hotels. 47 West St Bar Harbor for all your shops and lobster 🦞 feast
The place was very clean thu thanks
There was no continental breakfast, but the hotel provided muffins and orange juice in the room’s mini fridge. Water bottles and candy were also provided in the room.
The Check In and check out processes were very efficient. The shower was huge and the room was well decorated. Also, A nice central location to restaurants and shopping. Easy access to Bar Harbor and Acadia.
My first ever time to Maine (and the East Coast) was most enjoyable. The hotel room was very clean, the bed quite comfortable, location superb, and the staff met every expectation.
We stayed our previous night in Augusta but wish, now, that we'd booked both nights in Ellsworth.
I would definitely recommend the Colonial Inn Ellsworth to any who come to enjoy Maine.
Location was great, with nice trail just behind hotel for running and biking; right next to LL Bean outlet; across the street from good Asian restaurant, grocery store. Comfortable room, good desk area, convenient. Nice and very helpful staff. Good and varied breakfast, coffee/tea available all day. Great place, and LOVE Ginger Snap the beautiful Bearnaise mountain dog!
I have sent an evaluation already. This is to say we bought a few items in the hotel that were not charged to us. I do not know the actual cost but estimate it to be about $10. I will send that if you can tell me how and where to send it. I wish to do what is honest.
clean, comfortable room recently updated. great shower. on the road to Acadia with lots of stores nearby (and downtown Ellsworth about a mile away. we had room 27 which (along with 37 upstairs) was furthest from the High St so fairly quiet. would stay here again
The staff gave us dog blankets and dog treats for my pets. Very Pet Friendly hotel. The breakfast in the morning was excellent. They had a soup du jour throughout the entire day and a ice coffee station to enjoy. Highly recommend you stay here.
Although an older motel, the room was comfortable and charmingly decorated in country farmhouse complete with post beam ceilings. Check-in was smooth. The price was decent in comparison to the area. A great value!
The location is ok in Ellsworth- only about a half hour from Bar Harbor. They allow dogs. The front desk staff was friendly but never followed up on our concerns or needs.
