On a very busy road. Cabins need some updating. The view from the cabin was the back of one cabin and the back of some rec vehicles.
I ate once in the restaurant and it was good - the bar is well stocked. I only used the cabin to sleep in as I traveled around everyday. There isn't anything in Cameron.

This is a big strip of highway under the famous big sky.
This is a big strip of highway under the famous big sky. Not a lot here. The people are nice and it was a pleasant stop on the way to somewhere else.
The Blue Moon Saloon is a nice little restaurant with good basic food for the road-weary. They do have limited hours so it is like winning the lottery if you get to eat there. Virginia City MT and "Ghost town" is just a few miles up the road and not to be missed. Good leg stretching living museum on a nice day.

We stayed here as a central location for visiting Yellowstone National Park. The night we arrived we ate dinner at Bynee's. Totally would recommend eating there. Our server told us about Virginia City and Nevada City. Another day, while patronizing one of the fishing shops, we were advised to visit the ghost town of Bannack. This was a once in a lifetime trip and I'm glad we chose to stay in Cameron, MT. The local people were very helpful with letting know us about nearby attractions and made our trip even more memorable.

Don't blink or you'll miss it.
Don't blink or you'll miss it. Right in the heart of the Madison River valley. World-class fly fishing within minutes. Beautiful scenery in the valley. Only an hour from the west entrance to Yellowstone so an easy commute if you are on your way in or out of the park. And the hotel was a much better value than other places in West Yellowstone.
