Do not stay here Uber any circumstances. The place was dirty. The staff untrained and the housekeepers need more training and supervision. The place was a poor excuse for a hotel. Please don’t give this ownership a dime of your money. The ownership should be ashamed for this property. It looks like they have never put a nickel into maintenance or renovation. It’s shameful.

The king sized bed was very comfortable.
The king sized bed was very comfortable. The room was sparse but adequate for our purposes--an overnight stay on the way to the Coast. The room was very clean. The host congenial and helpful. Biggest deficit for us was that there was no coffee for in the morning and no place in the lobby to sit while spouse slept. Was not expecting that. But the price was very good. The place served our purposes, but honestly I do not thini we will stay here again.

La Grande strikes a good balance: it's got the vibe of a quiet small city but enough amenities -- food, entertainment, shopping, services -- to meet most traveler's needs. Plus, it's a great jumping-off point for a wide variety of nearby scenic areas.

There's nothing I liked about La Grande, it was horrible, I travel many days out of the year and stay in several rooms, and this is by far the worst room I have ever stayed in. The room itself I got was so far from being comfortable and the appearance was just horrific, I don't think housekeeping even cleans rooms after being used, shower head was not working properly, tile on the walls of the bathroom are falling off the wall, there's water stains all over the ceiling, and left over food from previous nights in the fridge, all of this put together is very sickening, I Had to leave five hours after checking in because I just couldn't gut staying in there anymore.

I have been providing services in La Grande annually for 10+ years now. You will not find a nicer small town anywhere. People are kind, considerate. It's predominately a farming community, and of course the University there which balloons during school months, but it is a beautiful small city that accommodates everyone. Off the highway with truck stops, in the center with Eastern Oregon University (EOU), and the outskirts with farming. Not that far from skiing with beautiful Anthony Lakes Ski resort. It is a gorgeous little mecca and I enjoy the town immensely. It's the people that make it beautiful. Very diverse for a small community.
It's a good value for an overnight stay. It's in an older section of town (small) that's near some great restaurants, micro breweries, and soda shops. Gives you a better feel for the town of La Grande rather than the "shiny Wall Mart and Corporate Hotels" on the other side of the freeway. I've stayed here a couple times. The owner/staff is very friendly and accommodating.
This hotel was beyond disgusting. Dust filled cobwebs lined the ceilings, urine all along the base of the toilet, some kind of red spatter down the bathroom wall and on hair dryer. Mold in the sink, bathtub and grout, candy on the floor behind the chair and floors look like they had not been vacuumed in months. Literally like a scene from a movie.
Loved this little Mom & Pop motel as one of the best "bangs for the buck" we had on a two-week road trip. Loved the walking distance to restaurants in downtown La Grande. The owners were so friendly, accommodating, and gracious! A small but meaningful touch: thick, fluffy towels!
The room was clean, comfortable, and warm. Breakfast was nothing special, but there were plenty of good choices. It was a no-surprises stay. We have regrets staying there, and would stay again. We found a great local restaurant not far away.n the
Nothing. The bed sucked. The pillows sucked. The water pressure sucked. The room stunk. It was over priced. The super 8 across the street was the worst place I ever stayed until I stayed here. The super 8 was 1/2 the price though.
A very charming place that was a bit in need of refurbishment. The hotel offered nice coffee and we got popcorn. The staff was friendly. When we arrived late there were deers at the property and that was a very pleasant surprise.
The best thing about this place is the location, if you want to be able to walk downtown to stores and restaurants. And...it wasn't as noisy as it looks when you pull up. Owner lives on site.
For the price, it's a great hotel. Stayed 2 nights. Room was cleaned and smelled clean. Can't hear the people next door - quiet place to stay. A/C worked great and so did the fridge.
