The hotel was DISGUSTING. Outdate shower. Dark scary hallways. The carpets were dirty. The room was not clean. There were stains on the chairs. Old tile from the 70’s in bathroom. Couldn’t adjust the temperature of the water.
We were NOT notified that the lounge/bar/restaurant was not in service until AFTER our reservation was made.
It was an absolute nightmare and absolutely disgusting. Old, disgusting and dirty. There was blood on curtains. False advertising with pictures on website.

It's my home town so I know it well and could show my friends from Germany what a small town in the U.S.A. is like compared to the major cities they/we visited. Pendleton might be small, but it has a creative community and much to offer during the spring through fall. Winter is a quieter time, but there are some local restaurants and the Oregon Grain Growers Brand Distillery & restaurant that are lively & offer great meals and adult beverages.

This is our second visit, last time we enjoyed the Underground Tour, it was fun!
This time we visited friends in La Grande and then enjoyed the Prime Rib Dinner deal at the casino on Saturday Nights. It was a lot of food and a plenty big piece of Prime Rib!

I like the history surrounding Pendleton and would like to tour the underground cave. The restaurants were adequate, but nothing to write home about. I'm not particularly fond of the one-way streets in old downtown Pendleton. Pendleton is a good stopping point for us when we are traveling to the Portland area and the Rugged Country Lodge
fits both our needs and our price range. Very friendly too.

To be honest there isn't much to do in Pendleton.
To be honest there isn't much to do in Pendleton. We did the underground tours which was cool but other than that there isn't much to do there. I was a bit disappointed.
But if you do go there check out OMG Burgers they are amazing all around.
The Rugged Country Lodge was practically brand new when I stayed there. The room was very clean and comfortable, had great amenities (like coffee and tea service in the room), and excellent wifi and television. The grounds of the lodge were very nicely landscaped. The pool and pool area were also great and a comfortable place to relax and cool off. The restaurant and store in the hotel had excellent food and the dining area was also a really nice place for eating and lounging.
Excellent!! Totally renovated, super clean, trendy “Motolodge”! Comfortable beds and pillows, friendly staff in the office, zero complaints. Great location, walking distance to super restaurants and all of downtown shops. Stayed here heading south, then again headed north. No comparison to the other “budget” motels in the area. If you’re on the fence, highly recommend a stay here.
We always like this hotel. The room is always clean and comfortable. The staff is very nice and welcoming when we visit. This is our favorite place to come and stay when we're in Pendleton. They are pet friendly which is always a plus for us because we travel with our little dog. It's great for us.
I left before breakfast was offered. I was actually surprised there were vacancies with as crowded as the location was across the street.
I had tried the other motel 6 location but they were all full so checked online status and was able to get a vacancy last minute.
The air conditioning! It was unseasonably hot in Pendleton. The room was on the west side of the building and the window and curtains were open when we got there. The room must have been 90 degrees, but the A.C. unit cooled it down quickly.
It is a older hotel built in the 1950s but has been nicely renovated. It is kitchy and the bathroom had that 50's vibe with the avocado green tile with the black trim and the pedestal sink.We liked it not a cookie cutter style hotel.
This hotel looks cleaner than the others around, and the swimming pool is indoors and in the same building, and the breakfast area is spacious, and our interactions with the employees were pleasant.
Cute and comfy property. Met the needs for our stay. Easy to find. Close to downtown. Quiet neighborhood. There was an issue when we first arrived, but it was resolved quickly.
Simple , straight forward motel. Has a pool. Serves a decent motel breakfast.
Nice staff. Very clean room. Comfortable bed. Great location in historic downtown Pendleton
