I was a little bit surprised by what it was, but Leah was very hospitable & accommodating of me and my dog. She was very pleasant to talk to & has a beautiful home. She also served homeade yogurt as a plus!

Loved the area.
Loved the area. It is a great hub to explore the many surrounding lakes, small towns and rain forests. We actually met a Quinault Indian while we were in the Quinault Rain Forest and had a lovely conversation with him while we were sitting on the river bank, and playing with his dog. Priceless. We also had great Mexican Food in Hoods Port (?) at a Cantina/Eatery on the water. Great shrimp, photo opps, Idyllic!

The staff is amazing. Food is great. My only thing is put the guests with pets in the rooms with the tile floors or vinyl whichever is on the bottom floors. That way if someone's pet has fleas maybe the next guests won't get all bitten up. My first stay I was downstairs in one of those rooms and I fell in love with The Guesthouse. There is a gas station/ convenience store, coffee stand, and restaurant all on/next to property. Its right off the highway but you don't hear all the noise. Plenty of room outside to walk your pets. Ill still go back.

I grew up in Camp Grisdale, we come to Montesano to attend a reunion. I love Montesano. My family has eaten at the Beehive restaurant since 1958. I'm sorry to say that the food is not up to par. We will find another restaurant to eat at.

We had a drink at Charlie’s next to the VFW. The bartender was really friendly. There’s a cool old back bar that’s from early 1900’s. Not much to the town that I could tell but we didn’t venture too far from the hotel. It’s a good spot on the way.

They are very nice in "Monty".
They are very nice in "Monty". Lake Sylvia state park is right up the road 5 minutes away. On Saturday they have a nice farmer's Market in the city park. I ate at The Family Dinning place just off the freeway. I'm sorry I didn't memorizes the names . Maybe "The Fishinghole" ???? and I ate a burger at the drive in right next to the Guest House Hotel. The flowers out in front of the hotel, planted from seeds, were beautiful, and the staff were exceedingly friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed a great meal at Fishin Hole Family Restaurant right across the parking lot.
