We offer our guests a free hot breakfast, free Internet access and a warm welcome! In addition, we have a fitness room, an indoor pool and a full service Conference Center. The City of New Bedford is truly a gem waiting to be discovered. At the height of the whaling industry, New Bedford became one of the richest cities in the world. With its biggest industry being the export of whale oil (most commonly used to fuel lanterns), New Bedford became known city that lit the world. In fact, our Conference Center in located in a historic Whale Oil Refinery.As one of the largest cargo port and textile producers the US, New Bedford became a multicultural hub. The city served as an active “station” on the Underground Railroad, and its many industries brought immigrants from Cape Verde and Portugal. Today, the city's lantern illuminated cobblestone streets will take you past historic merchant buildings filled with boutiques, art galleries and restaurants. With New Bedford being one of our nation's busiest fishing ports, our restaurants are known for serving the freshest seafood.
